Author has written 3 stories for NCIS, and Flash. Hey people. Leila here. Been here a long time. Your guys probably don't know me, and I'm gonna change that. Been a couple of usernames in the past, KirkTrekkin was my last name. I wrote a couple of Suite Life fanfics back in the day, however, I did remove them. I really wish I was one of them authors/writers who had published a lot more works up on here. But to be honest, I've got a lot of stuff that's just unfinished, and I think I've ever only finished like two or something. And I procrastinate a lot, like a hell of a lot, and writing fan fiction is a hobby I just don't put enough into, but something I want to pursue more. Like, I'm great at coming up with all the ideas, that's my gift, but finishing them, well that's another story...And haha, no pun intended. When I was a child, I wanted to be a writer, and I had a dream to have a book published, but now I've got a dream to write a screenplay and have it made into an actual movie one day. But writing and this site kinda took a back burner when I found my passion for Music and Film, but it came back recently when I finally got around to watching Prison Break...but anyway, I don't want to make excuses or anything...it's just you hit adulthood and then life takes you on many different places and turns, and it's hard not to get distracted and lose your focus. And I did lose my focus. But you've got to try and stay in a world where you keep that focus. Still a big rambler though...guess some things don't change haha. But yeah, three things I love in life, apart from my family and friends: 1. Music. Love it with all of my heart. No doubt about it. I first started writing and producing my own music like almost five years ago now, and wow the last time I updated this profile I had only been making music a year. In that time, I've learned a lot about music, and I feel I've got pretty up there in terms of my writing and production skills. It was my main goal to be up there with all the music producers, working with successful artists, making hits with them. But I quickly realised that wasn't the way I was supposed to be heard, and I feel like most mainstream music nowadays has just lost its edge, and I don't feel I can work on that kind of material, not when I've got so much talent at it. I feel like my talent would be wasted if I didn't pursue what I really want to pursue. And that is being a Composer for TV and Film, and believe you me, I'm gonna work my ass off harder than ever to be successful at it, or at least die trying, and one day, you'll hear my music in those huge movie screens. And if I do say so myself, I think I'm damn good at it, or so I've been told ;)...but I feel like I finally believe it more now. I don't feel as if music is my only passion in life though, not anymore. And the whole movie score thing brings in number 2. Film/TV. The main reason why I'm working to becoming a Film Composer, is because I am just as passionate about Movies and TV as I am about music. Films have always been a huge part of my life. And it makes sense that I would think of a job that combines my two passions together. I just love everything about films and media. Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em, love 'em. Own a few hundred movies or so. HUGE MOVE BUFF. Action, Thrillers and Sci-Fi are my favourite, and oh throw in all the Superhero movies and shows too, you know, cause I'm nerdy like that. HUGE NERD. It's gotta be that thrill, fist pounding, hero save the day kinda thing with that whole on the edge of your seat kinda feel for me. But then again, I can be totally sucker for certain cheesy movies that are full of that girly romance that would make guys cringe and want to be sick. And the majority of the time, I'm one of them. But hey, I've got to be a girl now and then right? Haha. But anyway, it's not just the on-screen stuff I'm into...I'm into the whole behind-the-scenes, director, movie-making, special affects aspects, etc. I love seeing what happens behind the scenes. I like editing videos and stuff too. It's all fun. I wish I could be apart of it all. I've become obsessed in the last six months in film even more. I don't just want to be a Film Composer. I just want to be in the film industry in general, however I can, and lately, I've realised just how much I want to work in Film. Music is kinda one of the ways in now. But yeah, this kinda brings me to my last thing in my list. 3. The Flash, Grant Gustin, and basically the entire Arrowverse. Oh yeah, my latest obsession in life...from Suite Life, to Justin Bieber, Star Trek, NCIS, Smallville, Spiderman, been through it all...I always find something to be passionate about. But right now, The Flash is like my entire life. I only got into it from watching Prison Break and Wentworth Miller, because I saw a scene of Captain Cold and Heatwave up against The Flash, and I instantly became addicted. Then I wanted to watch Grant in Arrow, and then I decided to watch the entire Arrowverse, so yeah, that happened. But just like Smallville and all my other obsessions, I know The Flash will always be a apart of me now. I will never stop loving The Flash. Can't help it. I'm geeky and obsessed. It's just my thing. It's been a year already since I found Flash I know I always ramble on my profile, but I can't resist the temptation to express myself on here, even though no one probably sits there and reads this. But I don't care haha. It's freedom of expression...and like the only place where I can write a ridiculously long profile, so eh, screw it. I guess you could still call me a tomboy at like 25 years old. I guess you could call me a Geek and a Nerd. I guess you could call me different and weird. I guess you could call me a little shy until you get to know me. I guess you could call me a lot of things but at the end of the day, I am who I am and that aint ever gonna change. To hell with what anyone thinks about me. But trust me, if you really got to know me, (and you'd be lucky to cause I don't share the real me with many people so consider yourself special if I open up to you), you'd see that I definitely aint shy, I'm far from it really. Crazy, hilarious, straight to the point, well not as much as I used to be... and to be honest, I can be an absolute ass (most times actually) when I don't have my guard up. Hey, at least I have the whole being a good person and an awesome sense of humour thing to fall back on haha. But I aint that good at expressing myself in person. But when I write or make music, that's a whole different ball-game, as you can probably tell. Well, that's if you've not got bored and just skipped past my profile to the part where I actually end this thing haha. Are you guys bored? Cause I'm just sat here typing, laughing at the sound of my own jokes. If only you could hear how funny they sound in my head hahaha. And yes, you could roll your eyes and think it's lame, but I roll my eyes and laugh at myself all the time, making self-deprecating jokes anyway so eh, the odds are I'll just laugh with you. Ah you gotta learn to laugh at yourself at life, otherwise you'd just be miserable all the time. Still amuses me now lol. Even more hilarious cause I've now hit that point that I now refer to myself as different personalities, and each one has a different name...there's Leila (obviously), LeiLou, LaLa, LeeLo..oh and Leyla. And yes, that'll probably amuse me forever, much like my reflection when I look in the mirror everyday...I had to learn to laugh at my reflection when I realised it was never going to change LOL...Like I said, I make self-deprecating jokes. Favourite colours are still purple and black and I still hate wearing skirts and dresses. I obviously will wear a wedding dress - DUH, and I own a real nice party/formal dress but other than that, you'll probably see me wearing a hoodie or sweatshirt, t-shirt and leggings with my converse or high-tops. Gotta love them high-tops. Fav actors: Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, Grant Gustin and I feel Grant is underestimated cause he is a brilliant actor. See the emotion he puts into all the intense, emotional and dark scenes in The Flash and you'll see what I mean. I feel that all four actors have that in common, and that's why I love them so much. Fav movie right now? The Greatest Showman. That musical has literally changed my life! And obviously my fav shows right now are the Arrowverse (The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl). But then there's the others that I will never forget, like Smallville. And 24. Oh I'm so glad they brought it back, still need to watch the new ones. I remember loving the Tomorrow People...but ugh it's a shame it got cancelled, but then Robbie Amell ended up appearing in The Flash so it's all good =D Oh and I can't forget NCIS, still need to watch the last season, and then there's Stargate SG-1, which I binge watched too. Then Prison Break happened, and then The Flash happened. And I seriously thought that no show would replace NCIS...oopsy... Now let's talk music...Oh how I love to talk music. Fav types of music, Alternative Rock, Hip-Hop, Cinematic music (it is beautiful and incredible and makes you feel on so many levels) and Pop. And I'm talking cheesy as hell pop from some musicals (Yeah I've turned into bit of a theatre nerd now too), and older mainstream Pop. Oh and I'm partial to some Drum and Bass too. But I like other stuff too, just not feeling a lot of the mainstream music right now. I don't feel like it's a phase that everyone's listening to that's not gonna last. But that's just my opinion. Some of it is really good though, like from artists I've been listening to for years. I'm really into X Ambassadors right now, 'Renegades' and 'Ahead of Myself' are some of my favs, And holy crap, I saw them live recently and IT WAS INCREDIBLE!! Seriously guys, give them a listen if you haven't, and go see them live if you can cause Sam Harris is an insane performer. Like up there at the top on so many levels. My first experience of a crowd surf, no lies...And there's Lifehouse who have been apart of my life for a long time now, since Smallville days.Wow that is a hell of a long time. Oh and how can I forget about Linkin Park. Forever rest in peace Chester. And if you want a great awesome British band to listen to, You Me At Six. Really getting into them now. Heard a song or two before, but now I love them. Also, Bring Me To The Horizon, another awesome British band. And not as much the heavier stuff, so if you like that, check them out. But I like their more toned down stuff, like Follow You. That song is everything... Their album That's The Spirit is less heavy, that's the one that's my thing. And speaking of them, Ollie Sykes featured on a song with You Me At Six, which is pretty awesome if you haven't heard it.
