[Post Great War] The Queen was critically injured in the Great War and her husband was thus left to be King, to rule the Seven Kingdoms and Essos and raise a son, the Crown Prince. Their marriage brought years of peace and prosperity to the Realm but the years of fighting and bloodshed seemed to be something that refuses to be left behind, catching up to them eventually

Oberyn Martell never wanted to get married, but after the death of his sister and her children, his brother didn't leave him much of a choice. The new Queen Regent needed a husband, and Oberyn just happened to be the most suitable candidate.

Watching Brandon choke himself to death killed the hope inside of Ashara. She felt her dreams choking and fading along with Brandon's breath. Her thoughts of growing used to the cold of the North if it meant feeling Ned's warmth burned to ash along with Rickard Stark, her hopes left behind with Elia. All she had left was survival for herself and her child, whatever cost it wrought.

The Starks still won't play, but everyone is playing the Game all around them, and Jon Sand has somehow become an important piece. Robert Baratheon, unknowingly, is the Targaryens' greatest asset.

This is a SanSan story taking place during episode 7 of season 7, and beyond, with some obvious changes. It is mostly based on the show, but there will be some book references as well. Instead of travelling to King's Landing to show the wight to Cersei, Sandor Clegane heads for Winterfell to offer his protection to the lady Sansa. This will wrap up ASOIAF season 8.
