Author has written 1 story for American Dragon: Jake Long. I am a female aged between 25 and 30 from Queensland, Australia, for those who are interested in the lives of FFNs authors. I’m interested in reading American Dragon: Jake Long, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Batman Beyond, Danny Phantom, Justice League (the newer cartoon with John Stewart as Green Lantern), Shadow Raiders / Beast Wars, Superman (the Superman Returns universe, not the comics or cartoons), NCIS, Bones, The Elder Scrolls V: Syrim and Merlin fanfiction. I have finished posting my first fiction; A Race to Protect, in the American Dragon: Jake Long universe. I have abandoned the sequel I was planning on writing, Dragon Instincts. For those who have been patiently waiting for it, my sincerest apologies. It's taken this long to admit I have lost motivation to write it, let alone finish it. Lots of thanks to everyone who encouraged me to keep going by reviewing and adding A Race to Protect onto their Favorites. Being an avid fan of this site since I was in high school, I know what I like in a story; a decent plot that can be followed, stuff happening that’s plausible in the given universe and decent spelling, grammar and writing formats. I despise being a hypocrite, so I will set my reading expectations as my writing standards. If I veer off them, let me know. Constructive criticism is always welcome. However, flames like “this sucks” without telling me why it sucks will be ignored. I may be using characters of my own creation in multiple stories. Don’t panic. The plots/stories will NOT be connected unless I say otherwise. I’m just too lazy to make up new people each time. I will NEVER abandon a partly published story without at least seeing if someone wants to continue it. If I leave it too long without updating, feel free to tell me to get my lazy ass into gear through FFNs Reviews or Private Messages (both automatically go to my e-mail, so I can’t miss them). Completed Stories A Race to Protect Jake is found unconscious and injured in his dragon form by New Yorkers after he escapes from being chased by the Huntsclan. He is taken to a local vet, Dr Clarkson, for treatment. Both are kidnapped by thugs that want to sell him on the black market. Rose, along with the other dragons and #88 and #89, rescue Jake and the vet from a ship in the docks. Rose convinces the Huntsclan Council that it was for the Clan’s own good that the magical community remain a secret; therefore she is rewarded for her initiative. Dragons are exposed to the world (as highly intelligent but gentle animals), but the magical community remains a secret. Only Dr Clarkson is suspicious of how intelligent dragons are, but knows it is in their best interest not to say anything. An idea I had for a sequel that I have no motivation to write anymore. Go nuts with it. Dragon Instincts: He took that as his cue to start. "A colleague of mine has recently invented and tested a serum that could prove useful to us. Unfortunately his funding was cut off when he didn't provide anything his department thought of value. He calls it Dragon Elixir; the potion allows the drinker the complete form and powers of a dragon for a month. Since he had no further use for them he gave the remaining bottles to me to use as I saw fit. I find disposing of them would be wasteful and have asked Steven," Phen motioned to her uncle, "permission to conduct experiments of my own with one of the students." Huntsgirl took a sharp breath. A dragon for a month? One of the students? He can't mean… |
