I'm bored. So I'm re-vamping my profile (it was a bit boring, anyway). Here we go!

The Facts:

--When I was little, I wanted to be a school bus driver because you got to open the door in the most dramatic way...once they changed the buses, I wanted to be a teacher...then a stunt woman...then a vet...then a filmmaker...and a culinary pastry chef. (and I'm still looking to fulfill the "filmmaker" and/or "pastry chef" positions.)

--I hate tomatoes, but love ketchup and salsa...I also hate strawberries, but love the flavor.

--I have very long, thoughtful, and exciting conversations...with myself.

--Did you know that some vanilla flavoring comes from an otter's anal glads...?

--Recent studies have shown that Oreos are as addictive as crack. (well, duh!)

--I'm an introvert and a hopeless romantic...and it kinds sucks, but I can't help it.

--I'm a nerd, a Trekkie, a Ringer, a Browncoat, a Whovian, a Sherlockian, a Supernaturalist(?), and so much more that I can't think of right now and/or doesn't have a fan name...

--If I'm obsessed with some show/movie/character, I'm going to write/read about them/it.

--When I find a new actor to like (see: obsess over), I go to IMDb .com and watch all they've been in that I can get my hands on.

--I don't hate coffee. I don't hate tea. I like them both equally...holy cheese, Batman! That rhymed and I totally didn't mean to.

--I miss playing board games that I never owned like Clue and Pretty Pretty Princess and Mouse Trap.

--When I find myself in times of trouble...I start singing that song and it doesn't help me with my troubles.

--A Boeing 747's wingspan is longer than the Wright Brothers' first flight.

--I'm right-handed, but I pick up mugs/cups only with my left hand.

--I don't want to rule the world...just travel it...then take over where I liked to be.

--I have the newspaper from the day I was born. (Back before computers were a thing everyone and their mom and grandma owned.)

--And speaking of being born...there's a meteor shower on my birthday EVERY YEAR. Cool, yeah? When my mom went into labor with me, my dad was outside watching the meteors.

--A woodchuck only breathes 10 times in hibernation.

--Pet Peeves: drivers who don't use their turn signals (your car didn't come with the 'turn signal' option? then stick your hand out the window like the driver's manual says to do!) and people who drive way too slow...i.e. people in front of me.
People who don't use 'there', 'they're', and 'their' correctly (seriously, it's like nails on a chalkboard to me).
People who gloat, such as: how they got into their first choice of a college, how they got a job directly out of said college, how they met the "partner of their dreams", etc (I'm one of those poor schlubs who nothing ever goes right for, so I don't want to hear how well off you are).

--Biggest Peeve on this site: writers who use the word "just" way too much. I like to quote the movie Finding Neverland when the word comes up: "Porthos dreams of being a bear, and you want to shatter those dreams by saying he's *just* a dog? What a horrible candle-snuffing word. That's like saying, 'He can't climb that mountain, he's just a man', or 'That's not a diamond, it's just a rock.' Just." Occasional use is totally fine, but the over-use bothers me a bit.
