![]() A fondness for a well told tale is my primary characteristic. From ancient myths to modern urban legends, no genre is beyond my kith and kin. If it is well written, chances are I will enjoy reading it. My hobbies are diverse. I enjoy growing orchids, but I am also proficient with firearms and I am a certified instructor in personal safety. I love campfires and wilderness trails almost as much as I enjoy a tale well told. I am extremely interested in history, mythology, and world religions. H.D. Kingsbury and I have coauthored several stories based on various permutations of The Phantom of the Opera. Or, I have significantly contributed to some of her stories. That is, she has thought of some wonderful ideas and I have thrown in a few others. At least, I've been her beta. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it! One thing is certain: If I read, I will review. Authors give freely of their time and talent in writing and posting stories. A quick note to say, "Thank you!" is the least I can do. Erik Plush Project Be sure to check out my good friend BleedingHeartConservative's Erik Plush Project at /erikindex.html. He's everything a phan wants and needs in a plush product! The Write Stuff Members of The Write Stuff wish to announce the publication of a new Phantom of the Opera anthology this summer -- Phantom Variations: Tales from the World of the Opera Ghost. This anthology is available through Lulu Publications, and will soon be available through major booksellers such as Amazon. Proceeds will be donated to the American Porphyria Foundation. Since the first volume was well received, we have opted to create a second volume of the Phantom Variations anthology. Again, all proceeds will benefit the American Porphyria Foundation. Paperback, hardback, and e-book copies of Phantom Variations II: Tales from the Worlds of the Opera Ghost may be purchased through Lulu Publications. Product tie-ins (such as Leroux-inspired t-shirts, mugs, and mousepads) are available through the TWS Gallery at Zazzle. We will also make custom items on demand, so feel free to ask if there's something you want us to offer. Members of The Write Stuff do not profit from either the anthology or product tie-ins. A Word to the Wise "Only amateurs say that they write for their own amusement. Writing is not an amusing occupation. It is a combination of ditch-digging, mountain-climbing, treadmill and childbirth. Writing may be interesting, absorbing, exhilarating, racking, relieving. But amusing? Never!" Edna Ferber |
