In days gone by I used to write a lot of poetry, some of which was even good enough to show to other people. I was well out of my teens before I risked dipping my toes into the world of prose, thanks to fellow Xena/Ares shippers and the wonders of internet fandom (in the days before social media). The first story I wrote was appropriately called "The Beginning", and well... so it began.

The stories on this site span several years and fandoms, and I am still fond of them all. Real life being what it is, I ended up doing no writing for over 8 years, but I finally returned to my unfinished and long-treasured novel "Solo" in 2015. I hope you enjoy the result.

Finally a word on reviews: it is not for the ego boost that writers crave feedback, although that is of course a bonus, but for that indescribable feeling of being heard, and understood. To feel that there is another human being, perhaps only one, who was touched by your words and your thoughts is the most precious thing any writer can hope for. This is particularly true of works in progress, where continued interaction is so important. So if you're wondering if you should review, stop wondering. Just do it. :)

10 May 2019: I've hit a slow spot in writing and have not been able to update Solo for some time, but I am still here and still working. Thanks for your patience and support, I'll try to update as soon as I can!
