Hello! I'm Del. I have written on and off for the last 15 years (eek). Consequently, older work is probably not up to the best quality. I try not to be embarrassed and keep everything up as a learning curve, but we shall see how long that holds up. Note that I am now primarily posting my newer work on AO3 (under goddessdel), and it may take me some time to cross-post here, and some are not appropriate to cross-post (though my older work is not all cross-posted at AO3 either because of time constraints or because it would require too much editing to do so).

I'm a Canadian living in America and (often) writing about British characters. I do my best but, as you can imagine, it gets rather confusing. All Brit-picks are greatly appreciated! I'm also a graduate student in the sciences. Aside from science eating my life and doing its utmost to destroy my ability to form coherent sentences, this also means that random scientific vocabulary might sneak into my fic (this might prove an advantage for Sherlock and DW - at least I certainly hope so!).

I write rather prolifically (or, at least, I used to be prolific) for several fandoms. My primary pairings/fandoms are:

Doctor Who (River/Doctor)

I've been following DW avidly for years now, and I've shipped River and the Doctor since her first episode. I told myself for a long time that I wouldn't come into the DW fandom (what do I need with another fandom??), and then I told myself I'd *just* read the fandom and not write it... and, inevitably, now it's insinuated itself into my head. From there, it's rapidly become a serious love affair, and it is definitely my main fandom atm.

BBC Sherlock (Sherlock/Irene)

This is one of my current fandoms. So far I have a lot of unfinished plot-bunnies dancing about and multiplying. Hopefully this will manifest into a long term fic love affair. I find myself Sherlocked (I ship Irene and Sherlock exclusively) and, since those two stubborn, brilliant idiots tend to take a long time to come to their senses, most of my fics are unposted WIPs at the moment. As they are completed, however, they will be posted.

Xena: Warrior Princess (Xena/Ares)

I've been writing in the Xena fandom for a long, long time (dodge anything older than 2005, please). I probably feel the most comfortable with that fandom, though it's been a while since I've written solidly within it. I'll never give it up for lost - it's my comfort/home fandom - but I currently have no plans to write further for them. I've told all the stories I wanted to. All unfinished stories are now complete in this fandom.

Other fandoms/pairings I used to write (with varying degrees of success):

Buffy: the Vampire Slayer (Spike/Buffy). All unfinished stories are now complete in this fandom.

Angel the Series (Angel(us)/Darla). All unfinished stories are now complete in this fandom.

Dark Angel (Max/Alec). All unfinished stories are now complete in this fandom.

I've also recently begun dabbling in Harry Potter (Harry/Draco), though that is still a somewhat secretive venture I've got spinning plot bunnies in my head.

FYI: I have gone back and edited/updated several old stories, and all are now complete. Unfortunately, this site doesn't update the published date, so if you previously liked one of my older stories, go back and double-check that I haven't finished it. I'll leave a note if I do.

3/6/13: I've removed the old X/A fic, "Greeks and Atlantians," as it was hardly more than the beginning of the fic and I have to admit that it is most likely abandoned. I have the vague plot mapped out if anyone really cares to know, but I highly doubt I'll manage to write it. If I do, I'll post it back up.
