Rennyangelee chapter 81 . 7h I get the "real people" thing-I've played around with some but will never ever put them in published stories I think. And about the long notes and MarySue fears: I have those too; enjoy what you write, first and foremost, because if you don't enjoy it, it is unlikely others will, so just let the fiction rule you! |
Rennyangelee chapter 80 . 7h It's hard to be gentle when one is "so utterly uncomfortable" [regarding mask wearing]. That's my favorite line in here! One small thing that might explain so much about our dear Erik! |
Rennyangelee chapter 73 . 7/29 Erik sleeping with the DJT score...I am going to sleep while picturing that and it feels oddly satisfying and right...but maybe I’m just that tired. |
Rennyangelee chapter 71 . 7/28 Thank you for slipping some translations and reflections at the bottom there. How I wish I could access multiple translations! Alas, I need books in accessible format, and after searching for POTO in collections of accessible books, I must obtain each copy and hope for an indication of the translator or analyze it for myself. Perhaps this is why I am so obsessed with phan forums and phanfiction! |
Rennyangelee chapter 67 . 7/28 Apparently I have a darker sense of humor than I realized, because the awkwardness of Nadir seeing a naked Erik made me laugh. I don't want to spam you with reviews, so am not reviewing every chapter, but I'll blame the reading of this story for any future procrastination in my own life, that's for sure! |
Rennyangelee chapter 61 . 7/28 I've bashed Christine far too much already in these reviews...but this chapter made me dislike her some more. Though, I do hope she might marry Raoul, and I do hope the both of them can mature sometime. And Erik...I continue to be enthralled by the way you write Erik! |
Rennyangelee chapter 56 . 7/26 Man, I loved 54 and 55! (Yes, yes, I enjoy a non-angelic Christine and a not-quite-whipped Erik because they're so rare.) And I'm definitely hooked on this! I want to read it before I favorite it though-so that'll be some time considering where I am, but I do have some time before classes start again. |
Rennyangelee chapter 53 . 7/26 My Lord, It's so very much fun to see you play with these characters! |
Rennyangelee chapter 44 . 7/23 So. Well. Done. Man I hope to write Lerroux as well as you! |
Rennyangelee chapter 26 . 7/20 I love this Christine! Christine is so often portrayed as Erik's perfect savior, and while I love romantic happy endings in phanfiction, I love the sides of Christine you choose to portray; I do not believe she was purely innocent or as mature as Erik might need; and I like how you illustrated the effects good and bad that Erik left on her. |
Rennyangelee chapter 10 . 7/16 I am not a fan of Christine in this or some other adaptations-if I don't dislike her, I am envious, like for the miniseries or Y/C musical. But for Lerroux in particular, Christine and Raoul are both like children and I don't believe she could handle Erik at all. |
moomin323 chapter 28 . 4/17/2019 Hello, I've been lurking around and reading along. It's my first read through, and I really like how this is coming around. I've always felt that Erik just needed Unconditional Positive Regard from even just one person, but for it to bear fruit would take years upon years just to undo half a century's worth of hurt and hate. And such a regard would be something so foreign to Erik, so unfathomable, that he wouldn't know what to do with it or even want it. And i loooove how you have explored this. Your character also fits the kind of role i wished Christine had (but she's too young, too "fresh" in the world to know there's more one can do than be moved by pity) and so I've come to like Elizabeth. I love that the relationship between Elizabeth and Erik is one of (growing) respect. It's an element that I can never quite find in most ExC fics, no matter how well-written (and so we have tumultuous and troubling relationships that eventually blossom into some form of love). Thank you for working and reworking your story :) Some typos: Decent Descent And An Shuttered Shuddered? I'm not sure if this is an British English/American English thing (English isn't my native tongue). But these typos are minor and easily forgotten because the story is very engaging :) |
Guest chapter 119 . 11/24/2016 Tastefully done. I would've never thought of it as "sewing" either, but the imagery is nice. |
Guest chapter 110 . 11/23/2016 This chapter is so cute 3 |
Guest chapter 42 . 11/23/2016 "Never under any circumstances" I love how he tries to hide his desperation, but succumbs to it in the end. This is my second time reading this, and it's just as brilliant as I remembered. |
