![]() Author has written 7 stories for Harry Potter, and Sherlock. I have one unfinished fic for Harry Potter, 'Maraudic Revelations', which I started ages ago, and kind of got me writing again. While I probably will never finish it, I'm thankful to it for bringing writing back into my life. "Case of Hallowe'en" is a pseudo crossover, and also a chapter from "Revelations", but works as a stand alone. It was massive fun to write- a basis on the Marauders, with a large dash of Sherlock and a pinch of Monty Python. "Tales and Prayers" is a bit of scribbling back when I had first watched Sherlock and couldn't get over it's brilliance. Each bit is inspired by a piece of music on my iTunes, so there's a good variety going on there- I'm more fond of the later bits, and a lot of them could be used as plot bunnies. Generally canon. "The Franck Sonata" is inspired by Franck's Sonata for Violin and Piano. I was walking back from teaching one day, and this idea hit me with- quite literally- force. I actually stopped walking, pulled out my phone and wrote, 'OMG SHERLOCK/MOLLY VIOLIN/PIANO FRANCK OMG'- and anyway this fic was born. But it is Sherlock and Molly's relationship as an AU, in the world of classical music. Complete! "Oblivion" was written in a spurt of inspiration, and I'm not really sure where that one came from, or how I really feel about it. But it's a two-parter with epilogue, and was inspired by the piece Oblivion by Astor Piazzolla; particularly the recording of Gidon Kremer on the album "Hommage to Astor Piazzolla". This is an AU set in WWII, and is probably not completely historically accurate, and is not the most fuzzy of stories, but there you have it. Molly/Sherlock, of course- Complete! Also- NOW IN FRENCH! The lovely LittleButterfly87 has it en Français on her page. "The Lark Ascending" is- you guessed it- inspired by The Lark Ascending for violin/orchestra, by Ralph Vaughan Williams. It is a completely gorgeous piece, and I admit, my original idea for this work was completely different. It has somehow morphed into a Victorian (early Victorian) AU...well, I don't want to give it away. But with, of course, an ample dash of Molly/Sherlock. If all goes as planned, this should be my largest piece as of yet! I'm a violinist. Surprised? :) PM me if you're interested in checking out any of my videos, I have a ton of recordings online! And please, leave reviews! There's nothing I love more than to hear what people think: it does take an extra moment to tap out a review, but it makes a huge difference. Cheers, Kat |
