I realize I'm two years behind, but this is at least the third time I read this series, and I love it pieces. The caracterisation you offer is, I believe, on point, perfectly coherent with the one the show offers, while allowing for a more thorough examination of the family's dynamics. It's also satisfying to see everyone working through their issues in an honest, credible fashion, without it sounding corny, or unnecessarily dramatic. I love the touch of humor you bring to diffuse tension, the witty retorts and the sarcastic comments. You manage to make everyonés difficulties relatable, without having them looking any less brilliant and crazy.
Anyway, to keep it short(ish), I just wanted to say thank you for writing it ! It would be lovely to know if there is any continuation anywhere of this story, or whether you have an idea of where you wanted this story to go, even though I guess you might have moved away from it.
Even if you don't, just thank you again, it's a story I love re-discovering each time, always makes me happy :)

I've been rereading this this weekend, I wonder will you update and finish this? It's incredibly rare to find wonderfully written fanfic about john as sherlock's son. Hope you will write more soon, I can't wait for it!

I enjoyed the Lestrade and John dynamic. I was so hoping for a "proper case" for John and Sherlock! They rock as a team. Good bonding and characterizations too. I liked the Holmes brother moment at the end

Whoa, I loved how well Sherlock and John know and understand each other now. Sherlock' explanation of letting him leave but following John and how they both weren't good men anymore but they would be together, never alone was wonderful and amazing and perfect! The drugs line and Mrs. Hudson's past were hilarious

Good for Mary, talk sense into John. Nice idea with the tremors and his low self worth and all. The reunion was wonderful!

Poor John and Sherlock...loved how he deduced it though, so very in character

Love how John is behind Sherlock's mystery and how they have their own code phrases and how each is trying to spot the traps. Mary was fun too

Whoa, John actually realized Sherlock is alive! I love the parallels of both thinking the other was dead for time, tracing their steps, seeking justice and closure. I feel more bad for Sherlock now but so happy for John
