Hey there i'm new here with my own little story: Cage and Key. I have no writing experience, but i hope you find my story enjoyable. I started my story after quite some years of first stumbling across the fanfiction site (somewhere in 2007) and after reading pretty much all the Harry/Daphne fic's 10 times along with other pairings. (Mostly those from earlier years of 2014 and below) I decided to go for my own after getting some idea's for it.

Genres i enjoy reading:

Romance, Adventure, Drama, Angst, Hurt/Comfort,

I basically like a lot of genres in my stories, as long as there is Romance weaved through it.

My likes: Sugar, lots of sugar. Completed stories.

Dislikes: Anything that is not sweet. Abandoned stories. (Better not be a hypocrite and abandon my own right?! hahaha...haha..)

I can already tell you now that my interests fluctuate; i find something of interest and completely go for it, only to suddenly lose interest... i myself also find this annoying. Hope that my story wont suffer from this problem.

I also watch Anime, and read manga, with Fate Zero being my undefeated favourite.

I listen to a lot of music genres; rock, pop, electro (and all those other genres similair to it) as well as OST's and soundtracks, violin and piano are boss in those. Just saying.

Cage and Key:

Cage and Key is my first attempt at writing. in the earliest chapters 1-5 ish, there are paragraphs of the books, this is because 1: the events stayed the same 2: I needed some help with writing chapters. However I think that I’ve improved quite a bit since then.

Most important Characters:

Daphne: is a lot warmer than the usual B!tch she is portrayed as. Instead i gave her more of a daring and mischievous nature with a heap of confidence that should make you smile a bit from time to time.

Her faults are however, that she can make important decisions without consulting harry about it, being in the set of mind that he will decline her requests and ideas before actually having tried them out. She is also reluctant to meet new people, and only cares deeply about the few people that she has around her. Meaning that she isn't one to care about the masses.

Harry: is pretty canon, meaning that he's horrible at romance with confidence issues regarding the ladies, changes are however that he has become quite overprotective through the events of the Ministry, and Sirius's death, causing him to withhold information from his friends and keep his problems to himself. Basically becoming Dumbledore 2.0

Entity: is someone/something that can appear to him whenever Harry sleeps. His loyalties and origin are unclear, and his goals even less. The only thing that can be said with certainty is that he wants Harry to practice the Dark Arts, and will regard anyone, and anything that hinders this as an obstacle.

Story:

I spend a large part of my story developing the relationship between Harry and Daphne, so don't come here expecting some fast paced story with instant love.

But don't think that there is no plotline because of the focus on Harry/Daphne. Eventually the story will lose its happy, and all's well attitude for a darker one as Harry delves deeper into the Dark Arts for better chances of competing against The Dark lord and his Death Eaters.

The Dark Arts themselves, in my story, come with a price, there were also consequences in canon but those were never explained in detail and just left with a 'it's bad magic so Voldemort now looks like a snake."
