Author has written 32 stories for Secret/Legend of Mana, Harvest Moon, Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon, and Final Fantasy I-VI. Last Updated: June 2015 Hello!! This is KuroNeko, but since that username was taken, the adorably abridged Kuneko. I'm a writer, artist, cartoonist, gamer, and college student (studying English Lit and Religion, with a focus on digital media and games as literature!), with a healthy dash of 'obsessive fanboy' thrown into the mix - mostly for things like RPGs and Japanese pop singer Ayumi Hamasaki. I guess I also like to think of myself as a storyteller, and fanfiction has been a great outlet for that for the past 10 years or so. I mostly write for the Harvest Moon fandom. It's one of my favourite game series, and the charming little countryside communities are ripe for character and community-driven adventures, which are always fun to explore! My most ambitious project thus far has been Harvest High!, a high-school AU that has gotten embarrassingly long. It'll see its conclusion even if I'm a senior citizen with no recollection of high school by the time it does, I swear. Otherwise, I write a lot of oneshots, prompts/challenges, drabbles, and occasionally take on longer multichapters. I love hearing from readers or accepting prompts, so feel free to write, either through this account or to the Tumblr blog I keep for HH!. Ongoing Projects Harvest High! - A light-hearted story based on Magical Melody and Back To Nature/Friends of Mineral Town. Loosely, anyway. This long-running fanfic, harking back to 2007, takes place in a High School AU (alternate universe) and features an expansive cast of characters as students, teachers, friends, jocks, cheerleaders, teenage alcoholics, and the occasional magic-wielder. Has an obnoxiously large roster of characters and things going on. (Last Update: May 2015, Chapter 60) (*) Harvest High! updates and chapters can also be found on its Official Tumblr Blog! () Life In a Wine Bottle - A series of drabbles staring Mineral Town's Karen, during a long and eventful summer. If you've ever wondered what Mineral Town might look like through the eyes of an alcohol-dependent, adventure-seeking, laziness-prone, summer-loving teenager, here's your chance. Mostly humor and general shenanigans, but with a few more serious undertones regarding the trajectory of Karen's life. Mostly updates in the Summer! (Last Update: June 2015, Chapter 38) There Is No Song In My Heart - A slightly more serious tale telling the story of Lumina from HM: DS/AWL. Having been raised by her great-aunt Romana since birth, Lumina, now 21, can't help but desire a more concrete answer about just who her parents were - a secret she knows her great-aunt is hiding. For whatever reason, the shed in the courtyard of her Villa holds some significance, and Lumina's determined to unearth the answers that have evaded her for her whole life. A reboot of my previous story, So Close To You. (Last Update: January 2014, Chapter 7) The Witch Who Wasn't - Melody always wanted to be a witch. Somehow, she ended up running a bath-house. Mist just wanted to help. Somehow, she ended up burning down a house. Raguna just wanted to find out who he was and get back to the life he had lost. Somehow, he ended up living with Melody in her bath-house. Life sure can be unexpected at times. (Last Update: Jul 2014, Chapter 9) Completed Projects Tales of True Love - A drabble series based on the LGBT hack for Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town that allows you to marry a villager of the same gender. In this case, I wrote 5 different drabbles about Claire's interactions with the 5 different bachelorettes. Seiken Densetsu 3 Trilogy - A really, really, really old story I wrote back in 2004. In elementary school. Yeah. Don't expect much. Three short stories featuring Hawk, Lise, and Angela. Hawk contemplates his marriage with Jessica, Lise relaxes at her castle with her brother, and Angela tries to prove herself to her mother. Oneshots & Drabbles Of Rogues & Royals - Setzer & Darill have always had a spontaneous, impulsive, but ultimately healthy relationship - they're reckless, carefree, and just as willing to throw each other to the wolves as they are to wrangle a third member to join in their love-making. Join them at a fancy Empire-thrown gala, where a certain blonde general just happens to be attending. The Persevering Heart - In a shocking twist, I write something not about Harvest Moon! This drabble follows Celes Chere in her ascent of Kefka's tower. The journey is introspective and strange. One Day Off - More Chase/Selena fun, this time with a guest appearance from Craig. Based on a conversation I had with a friend after an inconsistency in HM: Animal Parade in which Selena talks about the Moon Festival a day before it actually occurs. Typically, I had to run off and write a fanfic about this and take it to its logical end. Unsung Songs of Summer - Chase comes to Sundae Inn as an apprentice to Yolanda, only to realize he's sharing the space with the irritating, impetuous, insipid dancer, Selena. It's the beginning of a long summer for the two of them, with more than enough time for self-discovery. Divine Hot-Line - Alice from Hero of Leaf Valley is really, really cute. After a certain event in the game featuring her, I was super pumped to write an Alice/Jack drabble - but that slowly got away from me and the drabble-that-might-have-been ended up being a oneshot about Alice receiving some snarky advice from the Goddess on the state of her love life. Hilarity (hopefully) ensues. Skye Must Die - A humorous oneshot, inspired by the sudden Skye-obsession going around the 'net. The men of Forget-me-not are rather pissed that Skye is stealing their girls from right under their noses, and plan a meeting to discuss how they're going to take down the thief. All the Wrong Reasons - My first fic solely about drama/angst. Karen finds herself dreading her Wedding day, and realises that, after all this time, she's no longer in love with her husband-to-be, Rick. She takes the time to contemplate what brought her to this point, and why she's marrying him. It seems to be for several reasons; however, not a single one of them is that she loves him. Fireflies - A oneshot featuring Maria and Ray that I made as a gift for Singkatsu. Maria and Ray try and catch a firefly one summer night. A Night in Ishe - A random stupid comedy oneshot I wrote while feeling extremely bored one day and having played Sword of Mana. Yyyyeah... Very random. :3 Haha. Free & Easy - A songfic starring Lumina from Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. She reflects on her musical talent and her musical restrictions. Featuring Ayumi Hamasaki's song, Free & Easy, from her 2003 album 'RAINBOW'. Please don't be my Valentine? - Dan from Harvest Moon: Magical Melody has to deal with almost every girl in the village giving him chocolates. While trying to survive the girls, he finds salvation at the Moonlight bar, where he can be alone with Eve. A Moonlit Romance - Eve is having a horrible night, and after being attacked in her own bar, Dan might be the only one who can make her feel better. Sexual references, but no messy details. Challenges & Prompts Tie-Breaker - (HM: Tale of Two Towns, for Singkatsu) Kana races to the summit in the hopes of winning a competition with a very... particular prize. Seeing Stars - (HM: Hero of Leaf Valley, for Singkatsu) Alice and Gwen clash; Gwen leaves quite the impression on Alice. Do As I Say - (HM: Tale of Two Towns, for Singkatsu) Ayame sticks her nose where it doesn't belong - Hiro's love life - and faces the consequences. Accidents Happen - (HM: Animal Parade, for sassmasterkurapika on Tumblr, for the HM Starry Night Secret Santa 2014) Chase & Molly share an unconventional Starry Night together. Black comedy. Distancing - (HM: Friends of Mineral Town/Back to Nature, For Singkatsu). Popuri/Denny, this time. In Vino Veritas - (HM: Grand Bazaar, For Singkatsu) The prompt was for a Dirk/Marian pairing. The title is a latin idiom, meaning 'In wine, there is truth'. While You Were Gone - (Rune Factory 1, For Singkatsu) The prompt was for a look at Kardia during the events of Rune Factory Frontier, when Raguna and half the bachelorettes had run off. Business Ethics - (HM: Animal Parade, Drabble, For Singkatsu) The prompt was to write an altercation between Luna and Mira. Fueled by my endless rage at her inability to refine my ore. Grr. The Witch and the Woodsman - (HM: Animal Parade, Drabble, For Singkatsu) The prompt here was a Luke/Witch Princess pairing. Here's the result! Finish Line - (HM: Animal Parade, Drabble Series, For Singkatsu) While playing Animal Parade, my friend entered the animal race and one of the randomly-selected villagers chosen to be her opponent was Irene, on a goat. The concept was too good not to write about. The Girl Next Door - (HM: Magical Melody, Oneshot, For Singkatsu) While replaying Magical Melody as a female, I couldn't help but notice some of the girls still spoke to me as if I was a male, or a potential love interest. Then, one day, I get a vaguely romantic letter from Katie, and rather than chalking it up to lazy developers (even though that was most likely the case), I was challenged to write a fanfic that rationally explained it. Which lead to this little oneshot, in which Katie has an immense crush on the female farmer, Tina. A Taste of Two Worlds - (HM: Island of Happiness, Drabble, For Singkatsu) Lanna enjoys life on Sunny Island, placing emphasis on her favorite thing about living there - the food - and the boy who can hook her up with as much of it as she wants - I'm sure you can guess who. Dead Projects Moonthorn - Kayleigh, the new farmer in Mineral town, falls in love with the beautiful Karen, when he soon realises that she's not quite what he thought she was. Infected with the poison from a flower during her childhood, Karen turns into a werewolf every moon cycle! Can their love overcome this obstacle So Close to You - A slightly darker story centered around HM:DS. Lumina was taken in by a foster family at birth, then returned to her grand-mother at the age of ten. Eleven years later, she's starting to wonder about who her real parents were, and what secrets lie in her family history. Meanwhile, a witch who was exiled to living in a small shed, Mistral, tries to undo the sin she had once committed and make it up to her long lost daughter.
