Author has written 11 stories for Star Fox. Status: It's been over 4 months since I updated my current story, and a year and half since I finished Yellow 60 Lake, my last serious multi-chap, so I thought I'd give a little update for where I am writing-wise. 1: Labyrinthos 2: Undisclosed Story 3: Lylat Lagoon 4: New Story Set in 64 5: Joke Oneshot Profile Pic: A rendition of my character Kung Furry drawn by Sheppard. He appears in Hunting Party and pops up in a few other places around the archive. Hobbies: Reading/writing fanfiction. Playing/making games. Modelling and Texture art. Music. Anime. Roasting Sheppard. Stories at a Glance: -Active- Lylat Lagoon - (Episodic) The junior members of Star Fox (Fox, Falco, and Slippy) invite the girls (Katt, Miyu, and Fay) down to Aquas for a week of rest and relaxation. Things go mango-shaped when their pilot sabotages their shuttle and maroons them on a deserted(?) island. An over-the-top irreverent and raunchy comedy. I will be paying for my sins in hell. -Completed- Party Boat to Venom - (Short) My entry for the Foxhole's ill-fated OC-centric contest. Only three of us actually finished ours :( It stars a bunch of different characters: an admiral overseeing a pleasure cruise to Venom, two ragtag bandits from the outback, a wannabe scientist, and a Katinese general intent on proving herself to Andross - all trying to steal a dimensional transporter from their ship. It's a wild and wacky end-of-the-world party! Yellow 60 Lake - (Full) Miyu and Fay hunt down a bounty hunter with stolen artifacts. They trace her to a backwater town and swamp region that have seen a strange increase in pirate activity, getting into all kinds of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey shenanigans. Oh, and zombies. And ancient curses. I've modeled this after Mr. Skiperdoo's The Perfect Escape - something that readers can scratch their heads at, apply close-reading to, and wear tinfoil hats while they piece together the clues. Also I've composed a (mostly) original soundtrack that makes heavy use of sampling. The Sierra Foxtrot War on Christmas - (Short) A holiday special K.S. Reynard invited me to collaborate on, featuring the best elements of both our writing styles. Fox's plans to spend the perfect Christmas with Fara crumble when a certain other vixen invites herself to his house. You can find it here. Star Fox: Misadventures - (Episodic) A series of one-shots treated like a TV show with minimal continuity. So far Fox gets high on hospital drugs, the team gets trapped in a video game, they're forced to play a raunchy Pokemon Go ripoff full of offensive political satire, I retell part of Star Fox 64 with just emoji, and Falco goes on a wormhole trip. Currently I've ceased updating it, while any planning I've done will be put towards Lylat Lagoon instead. Happy Story - (Short) Winning entry of Sheppard Studios' one-shot contest from mid-2015! Details Andross's arrival on Venom. Needless to say, it's definitely not happy. Andross is my favorite SF character, and Venom his domain is my favorite location. I'd really like to expand on this sometime. Hospital for Souls - (Short) 2014 Christmas one-shot. Falco is left to care for a dying girl in her last moments of life. The Hunting Party - (Full) Inspired by the anime Black Lagoon. A wimpy kid with self-confidence issues unexpectedly finds himself caught up in a gang of lawless bounty-hunters; the former Star Fox team. Lead by Krystal, who is now only a shadow of her former self, the newly rebranded Hunting Party goes on a variety of comical, yet dark adventures; delivering weapons, defending criminal hideouts, and demolishing fourth walls. It features a bunch of other author's OCs from time to time, including characters from KS Reynard, Sheppard_SD, and Nail Strafer. I even wrote a story arc with Sheppard, which was hella fun. It's also single-handedly responsible for ending two of my friendships here! Dream's Brink - (Full) When James doesn't return from that fateful mission to Venom, Fox runs away from home and accidentally drowns in a stream bed only to wake up in a mysterious new world. There he must come to terms with his father's death while surrounded by ghostly shadows of the waking world. The majority of the chapters were inspired by lots of actual dreams I had. I also made a playlist of songs that fit each chapter. Minutes to Midnight - (Short) My entry for Emile the Watcher and K.S. Reynard's Holiday Contest back in 2013, which won 2nd place. After Dash Bowman gets fed-up with the state of the Lylat he threatens to blow up the System at 12:00 AM New Year's Day. With everyone given only a few hours left to live, the disbanded members of Star Fox are forced to reconcile their past mistakes and forgive each other. Another older story I wrote when I was 17. The Anomaly Collapses - (Full) My debut story that got me started on fanfiction when I was 16. I only keep it around for sentimental reasons, and of course to make fun of it. It's an embarrassment, but I'm still proud of having completed a story of this size on my first go. May provide a good laugh of the so-bad-it's-good variety. Favorite Books: Chaos Effect - Vexed (My favorite story period, whether fanfic or real literature) Suggested Bands: Starset - Transmissions and Vessels blend cinematic hard rock, electronica, and djent for the perfect science fiction soundtrack. I think these two releases are some of the best Star Fox theme music out there, and I often listen to them while I read SF fanfiction. Tehraia - Our very own KS Reynard makes music under this pseudonym (you should know him from The Oasis and Sierra Foxtrot). Currently he's made two releases, Out of Africa and Peshawar Blues, which are a cross between hard rock, thrash, and progressive metal, with a dash of middle-eastern flavor. They fit pretty well with his stories. You can find his releases on YouTube and Spotify. goreshit - An underground artist who has a good collection of dark ambient music. For more chilled-out ambiance, listen to lorazepam resonance and sedatives volume 3, or for a spookier, darker atmosphere check out bleak and end. Most of his other releases are throwbacks to 90's electronica, which are my real favorites. Good for horror-themed or tragic stories. Gorillaz and The Avalanches - Plastic Beach and Since I Left You are two great beach-themed albums. There's even an instrumental version of Plastic Beach on YouTube. They fit well with Lylat Lagoon, and I enjoyed listening to them while reading Skiperdoo's Perfect Escape. Quotes that I actively live by/have had a large impact on my life:
If you find it annoying whenever people say, "Copy and paste this onto your profile page", then copy and paste this onto your profile page. I'm joking. Don't do that. |
