Neat story

Great chapter I loved seeing how far Fox has come from the burnt out mercenary he was before to the point where now he’s joking around with his comrades and started to stand up for himself to Sapphire a bit. Krystal’s developed quite a bit as well. She’s more assertive now and not afraid to stand up for her loved ones. The only downside of this chapter is that Arden’s still alive.

Since AOC updated recently, I decided to re-read the story so far to get caught back up. Let me tell you, it's even better the second time around. If you are new to this story, I highly recommend it; great job Sani!

It's been over 4 years since I started reading this and I didn't think till now to try translating Krystal's surname :P

Good to see Podieus back in (mostly) good health again, and now he's actually getting along with Fox - quite well in fact. I'm glad they've started to hit it off together.

Geez that's a lot of stuff going on still and now the creature is saying more of them will appear in the near future things are getting rough.

Pretty cool chapter. Fox and Sapphire get a nice look at what they're up against, and Fox starts to exert his influence for himself. Probably some telepathic shenanigans going on all the time, but whatever he's starting should be pretty cool regardless.

Krystal, unfortunately, had some rather unpleasant experiences this time. Some jealously, and a hilarious scuffle with a comrade. At least she gets to look forward to seeing her mother again soon. No good news for any of them, but at least they'll be worried together.

This was a fun and interesting chapter to read. It has a good balance of light and dark in it.

Another chapter, another cliffhanger. I know you have something in mind for Podius, most likely not what I hope is going to happen. Hopefully he learns his place at a show of Fox's true power.

Knowing you, Podius will probably wind up being my favorite character here in a few chapters.

Holy shit, an update? On AoC?! Awesome!

I like how you're using villains that are part of Cerinian mythology. It gives the story a real High Fantasy feel.

Sounds like Fox's feelings for Krystal are getting less lusty and more romantic if that cabin fantasy is Sapphire says he has is anything to go by. And Krystal is starting to sound like she is starting to really warm up to Fox too. I can't wait to see how exactly involving Fox in the ritual to wake her up will affect their relationship in the coming chapters. Especially now that Krystal knows she needs to stick by Fox for protection.

Oh man, the scene were Krystal kicked that guy in the nuts had laughing so hard, it was great.

Awesome chapter. It sounds like the FoxxKrystal action will be happening soon. I can't wait.

You also did a good job showing the political side of the Cerinians’ situation, which was interesting as well.

Zasz seems like another interesting character, is he going to be like the snarky evil teammate? Also, does his name come from Zsasz from Batman?

Zasz said that Fox has some sort of special power in his blood. Is that why they needed Fox’s blood to heal Krystal, or would anyone’s have done as well?

Well Done Sani! Another chapter where I cannot stop scrolling until I hit the bottom. Keep it up! I hope you plan to have at least one fight where Fox gets to use Cornerian Tech. An orbital skrike against the enemy stronghold for example. Can't wait for the next Chapter.

This week I restarted this fic because honestly man I hadn't touched it in a while - although I'd only ever read the very beginning. I'm already all caught up... it's gripping, to say the least.

Act I started easy enough but then I just had to keep reading, I NEEDED ANSWERS. Are they really gonna kill Fox? Will he get a chance to clear things up with Krystal? You had me suffering for most of the first act, but that brief segment with Fox and Krystal at Fox's camp felt like a real treat. Like I was being rewarded for pressing on. That's the kind of stuff I can't resist.

The beginning of act II crushed my little heart but likewise kept me pressing on because I just HAD to know what was gonna happen. What will become of Fox? Will he and Krystal reunite? The latest chapters answered these questions but holy shit did they create so many more.

For a while I thought it was unfortunate how little we knew about the enemy. I thought a little insight into them would've been nice, maybe by exploring one of them as a character, but after what happened at the hamlet it's clear something else is going on. I really wasn't expecting it.

Sapphire is yet another massive incognita. I'm still not quite sure what to think of her. She's so nice with Krystal and Onyx, and she seemingly has good intentions, but she's also planning something, and then there was that wise old fox's warning about her... I really don't know what to think or feel. It's gonna be real interesting to see how her arc pans out.

I love how you've developed Krystal. Her fears and insecurities make her very relatable, while her good nature and strong will make her admirable. I can't help but root super hard for her. Fox feels a little bit neglected by comparison, however. As for the rest of the cast, it's hard to dislike many of them, except maybe Amanshae. She's the new Arden. Speaking of Arden, I really hope he's alright. It's been nice to see him advance out of his bad first impressions and into someone respectable, and likeable, and dependable, and noble... I really, really hope he's alright :'C

So yeah, those are my comments thus far. I didn't want to stretch them all out over the chapters so I figured it'd be best to try and condense them into these messy paragraphs, sorry about that lol. It's been a gripping tale so far to say the least, sometimes painful, sometimes heartwarming, sometimes even scary as heck. I'm almost sad to be all caught up - I can't read to my heart's content anymore :c and I STILL NEED ANSWERS GAWDAMMIT.
