Author has written 9 stories for Death Note, Legend of Korra, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and Kuroshitsuji. Sometimes, the stories we read, we see, or we hear, stay with us longer than we thought they would. The characters become alive in our mind and become alive to us. And once they come alive, they embark onto new adventures, within the initial story-line they were created in or drift to another. And it is our job to run after them and to see what kind of adventures are they going to get themselves into this time, so we could write it down and share with the world. Fanfiction is the result of that pursuit. Because sometimes, we just like those stories too much to simply let them go. We want more. And if we can't get more, we make it ourselves. And that's absolutely beautiful. In the stories that follow, you shall find... For the Death Note fandom... Sleep Sound A bedtime story for lovers of fluff, as my summary says. A tale of friendship that could only occur during those days — or here, nights — during which Light wasn't aware of his past as Kira. All set in that particular time of our sleep where we aren't dreaming yet, but still can't say that we are quite awake. My favorite moment to use in stories. This story is for those who, like me, liked the dynamic between Light and L and wondered if they had more of those real bonding moments. What is brilliant in those two characters, is the fact that they're very much alike, yet they are fighting on different ends. Had they met under different circumstances, I strongly believe that they would end up as friends, rather than enemies. And that's why we need more sweet friendship fics with them! Sleep Sound was my first contribution to that Angel's Lair I'm one of those people who are fond of exploring those things that happen behind the curtains. When in the mafia arc Sayu gets her kidnapping ordained by Mello and when she is later ransomed for the Death Note, we are not told what happened during those three days with Sayu. Instead, we show the police trying to get to the hideout, and later on, we get to see Sayu in a catatonic state, in a wheelchair. We never get to know what truly happened to her, so I tried to invent my version of the story. In Angel's Lair, you get a peek from inside as to what truly happens in the mafia's hideout. The point of view alternates between Sayu and Mello, and their respective stories guide this fanfiction. In canon, we are never told whether Mello and Sayu even interact, whether she has been questioned or even tortured out of pure sadism, so all that leaves enough space for authors of fanfiction to invent their own version of the story. In mine, Sayu's state deteriorates as soon as she is kidnapped, due to the large quantity of drugs that she has been injected in order to keep calm. The story features psychedelic visions as well as a particular focus on dreams. In such a state and surrounded by huge and dangerous-looking men, when Sayu first sees Mello, she mistakes him for an angel. But instead of lashing out at her, the words that she utters trigger the beginning of a memory in Mello's mind and during the entire lasting of Sayu's captivity, he keeps her close in order to reconstruct the full memory. Hence, this story also features flashbacks into Mello's childhood and the time before Wammy's. This is one of the stories that I had the most fun writing, be it due to bizarre circumstances, be it due to the fact that I get to write dreams and psychedelic visions — something that I absolutely love — or due to the fact that I get to write about Mello, who is one of my favorite characters in Death Note... As for the OCs in this story, I suppose that some of the prostitutes count? In a couple of pictures in the manga and in some scenes in the anime, we see Rod Ross with a couple of prostitutes, but we never get to know them. Therefore, I decided to give them a greater role in my story and let them guide you through the mafia's halls also, despite the darker tone, this story has some really sweet moments that were simply a blast to write Update: STORY COMPLETED! For the Legend of Korra fandom... Dolls A story written in verse, with Tahno's fangirls as central characters. The verse is strongly irregular, following the rhythm of the thoughts rather than a regular rhythm. This is also one of those situations where I took characters all in all unimportant to the intrigue and decided to show their point of view on the story. During a couple of moments, we see Tahno's fangirls, but besides cheering for him, they don't do much. I wanted to invent their life and add their vision to the story. Maybe they are unimportant for the Legend, but in their own life, they are the central characters. So I gave them names (Bobby and Pam) and decided to tell their story. Also, I am truly fascinated by the idea of being a deluded fan. A fan with no boundaries, like those who fall in love with their favorite celebrities and turn their life around them. And I get to write about that in this fanfic It is important to note that Tahno's personality in Dolls does not need to match the one that I gave him in the Silver Tides. After all, I am but a fan, molding the characters created by Bryke so that they would fit my stories. And from story to story, depending what I choose to make them live, there might be a dissonance between the personality of one and the same character. To me, as long as it isn't blatantly OOC and as long as the discordance doesn't happen within one and the same story, it can pass if dealt with properly. I will let you be the judge of whether I managed to do it The Silver Tides What happens to benders who have lost their bending? How do they keep going on when the way in which they see the world has suddenly shifted? This is the story of Tahno and of his life after he loses his bending. Mentions of Yue are frequent and almost obsessive, providing a sort of standing point in Tahno's life, once that he can no longer control the water. In this fanfic, I write what I imagine his life has been between the moment Amon took his bending and the moment Korra gave it back to him. Now, as I kinda like the Tahnorra ship, there are some sweet moments between them. Korra didn't simply vanish from the city life when she was on the hunt for Amon. In the canon, things go pretty fast, but for the sake of my story, I have stretched the time some more, allowing Korra some moments of rest in her action-filled Avatar existence x)) Also, THIS STORY FEATURES ACTUAL WOLFBATS, MAKING IT TEN TIMES MORE AWESOME XD The Taste of Winter Bolin and Eska. The creators just nailed it. It was quite incredible in the show, really, how the Boleska ship went from being downright creepy and disturbing to cute. So the Taste of Winter centers mainly around Bolin and Eska, but their friends and family are often present. Rather than being one multi-chapter story, it is rather a collection of one-shots (a chapter = a story) that have very little in common. Some are short, some are long, and the genres vary from one one-shot to the next. We can have rainbow-puking fluff in one chapter, followed by the dark dungeons of angst in the next one, but at least, I have tried to keep the rating at K for the entire collection. So Boleska shippers, welcome! STORIES TO BE FOUND IN THIS COLLECTION OF ONE-SHOTS: - Hearts on the Deck: Eska asks Bolin to join her on the deck of her ship at evening. He comes with a special little present. Extreme fluff - Icy Bliss: Eska's dreams after she comes back home after the end of Book 2. The only way for her to see Bolin is when she's asleep. - Nuktuk, Hero of the South: In the Southern Water Tribe, a civil war was raging. All communication with the rest of the world was cut and Eska and Desna had had little knowledge of what was happening in other places. In Republic City, Bolin was a mover star. - Turtleducks: There is a small lake in Republic City where Bolin likes to go and play with the turtleducks. Only, after the events of Book 2, even that is no longer the same. Update: The events of this story mainly center about Book 2, but some of them could be more general. I may do a chapter in which Eska and Opal meet if there's demand for that... Our Thing This is one of the best canon ships that has ever sailed (I can't believe that I'm using this sort of terminology xD). There was no needless drama, no love triangles, no unnecessary tension, no forced feelings. It was nice, it was genuine, and it was funny. On top, it didn't distract from the main plot, it stayed in the background, but it still filled us all with happiness. I'm extremely picky with romance as it tends to bother me more often than not, but with Zhurrick, I had no such problems :) STORIES TO BE FOUND IN THIS COLLECTION OF ONE-SHOTS: - The Prison Cell: Set during book two. Varrick and Zhu Li share a prison cell and the night coming, they need to go and sleep. As in many stories of mine, the time just before one gets asleep is the most unpredicted one, where things you might have never thought in general jump into your head. Varrick and Zhu Li are no exception to the rule - Beggar: A little girl lives as a beggar on the streets of Ba Sing Se. How does a person with such a background become the assistant of a wealthy genius inventor? Seven stories partaking in the Zhurrick week: - 1. Tea: The first task Zhu Li had to do for Varrick was making him tea. Since then, tea has had a particular role in their relationship… - 2. Oblivious: Set during Book 4, shortly after Zhu Li makes her apology to Varrick and snaps at him for not treating her as an equal. Varrick is trying to come to term with what he feels, helped by a Bolin who's sick of his shenaningans. - 3. Routine: Working with Varrick means that routine, just like everything else, gets tainted by a case of crazies... - 4. Dancing: Watertribe dances are known all across the world. Varrick himself is an excellent dancer. Zhu Li, wanting to be a perfect assistant, tries to learn on her own. Until Varrick finds her out... - 5. Tradition: The spirit vines on which Varrick is working seem to be communicating with him, always leading him to Zhu Li. Varrick soon realizes what he has to do, but for that, he first needs someone who could inform him about some Earth Kingdom traditions... - 6. Family: Family for Varrick was everyone close to him. Zhu Li was part of it since long before their marriage. -7. Food: Since Zhu Li has started working for Varrick, he always insisted that they eat together. For the Game of Thrones fandom... This one was kinda tricky. When I get a story idea with characters from Westeros, I never know if I should put them in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" folder for books, or in the "Game of Thrones" one for the tv series. I absolutely love the books, but I find that the tv adaptation is beyond excellent, so I really don't know under which category to put my fics for this fandom... Sansa's Poem I'm sure that this fanfic represents the deepest dreams of many a fan. It is physically demanding to try and like king Joffrey, so writing a fanfic about torturing him was very liberating. On top of that, I put those dreams of hurting him very vividly in Sansa's imagination, and wrote it as a poem, partly because I like playing with different forms of writing, and partly because in the books, Sansa is said to like writing poetry. Now, I put this one under "Game of Thrones", simply because when I was watching the show, I saw that look that Sansa addresses to Joffrey, and there was just so much hatred and despise in that look, that I found myself imagining what she was thinking. And so, this story was born x) For the Harry Potter fandom... Who Killed Cedric Diggory? Unlike most of my other stories, this one is a strong AU, since I change some of the most important elements from the canon. I took Cedric's death as a starting point to weave a plot that would bring us to conclusions much different than those which are originally established. But different how? Read and find out In this fanfic you will also have some hallucinations and psychedelic visions, but rather than describing them, I have tried to render them through dialogues and details in the narrative. One of the most mind-swirling stories in this list, so if you are a fan of that sort of writing, you may like this story :) Also, Harry Potter fandom is gold and I intend to keep writing stories for that :) seriously, there's so many corners of the Harry Potter world that just throw inspiration powder on people and everyone can find something for themselves. For the Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) fandom... Madam's Scent There is not one single normal relationship in Black Butler. The one that caught my attention the most was that of Madam Red and Grell Sutcliffe. First of all, the two of them are my two favorite characters of the story, in a completely perverse and disturbing way. Their killing escapades and their companionship make us wonder about the nature of their relationship at all and it is in that wondering that ideas are born. Are they just associates? A duo of mass-murderers? Or heart-broken lovers that through their massive killings want to redeem what's theirs or what they think that they should own? Do you see the infinite potential for fueling ideas? XD So in my story here, Grell is attracted by the scent of Madam Red, the scent of her emotions, her desire for revenge, and her infinite sadness. At the same time, as a biological male, but who longs for a female body, everything else concerning Madam Red — who could be the most obvious representation of femininity in the Black Butler world — represents to him everything that he would want to be. And yet, both of them share the same misfortune, so Grell feels even closer to her. In moments during which she's sleeping and Grell's mind feels the most vulnerable, he goes to Angelina's closet and wears her clothes, making that his sanctuary. But of course, such actions cannot remain hidden for long... The entire story is written from Grell's perspective (albeit in third person, I never feel quite at ease when writing in first person, so I avoid it as much as I can), who is definitely the craziest character I have been writing for so far. One last thing, my dear readers, do not hesitate to tell me your opinion. It is especially interesting to get a review on a fanfic that's rather old, and I promise you that I read and reply to every single one of them. Also, I'm not afraid of negative comments, so if you don't like something in my stories, please tell it can only help, on one hand me, to become a better writer, and on the other one, you, to have a better story in the end, because if the critique seems interesting to me, I will listen to it and use it for my further writing. And of course, if you liked the story, I'll be very glad to hear it. So don't be shy if you want to say something, and if you don't want to leave a review but would still want to share an opinion with me, my PM inbox is always open :) Best luck to you all and I hope that my fanfics will bring you what you have been looking for LooneyZampy |
