Author has written 14 stories for Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, 39 Clues, Parodies and Spoofs, and How to Train Your Dragon. Hello, everyone! I really appreciate critical reviews more than you might think, because I want to improve my writing, and I want to make my stories easier for the reader to read. Of course, if you don't like my stories, it would help to know WHY you don't like them, not JUST that you don't like them. I apologize in advance for my strange sense of humor; it slips into my writing and sometimes I cannot seem to get it out. My dream is to become a published author. My current plan is to just keep writing. I love fanfiction because I love reading other peoples' stories. This is a constant source of inspiration; I don't think I can read or watch anything without instantly dreaming of a fanfiction about it. I have to say though, I prefer writing original fiction, because I LOVE creating characters. My current goal, fanfiction-wise, is to publish something once a month at the least. I am too busy to commit to anything else, but I love writing too much to give up entirely on it. I love posting my stories because it gives me an end-goal for my writing. I quite drawn to the idea of posting my stories for other people to enjoy, and it helps me finish my stories and edit them thoroughly. I love writing, because I have trouble putting my thoughts into words when I speak. I am easily embarrassed, so I don't talk much, which stinks for me, since I love talking. Writing, for me, is like talking without the stuttering. My pen name is ATrueHufflepuff13. I have read (and loved) Harry Potter, but I don't think Hufflepuffs got as much credit as they should. Everyone assumes that the Hufflepuffs are a bunch of losers who just aren't good enough for the other houses, but according to the sorting hat, they're patient, loving, loyal, just, dedicated, and hard working. That is nothing to be laughed at. I'm in the Hufflepuff house, and I'm proud of it. Oh, and the 13 is just because... it's an underrated number, and I feel kinda sorry for it. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR GOOD STORIES, keep in mind that I have not loaded up my "favorites" section with every story I read and liked, but saved it for the best stories which made me laugh out loud, or even cry. I highly highly recommend EVERY story in my favorites, so feel free to check them out, as well as the authors in my favorite's section. Out of all the brilliant stories I have read, these are my very, very, favorites. IMPORTANT!! One of my stories, Live Laugh Love, is in a community. I am really extremely honored that someone would single out one of my silly little stories to be in their community, but they did. It is called They Are Beautiful, No Matter What You Say, the URL is: http://www.fanfiction.ws/community/They-Are-Beautiful-No-Matter-What-You-Say/106378/ I highly suggest checking it out; it is updated continually and on a regular basis, and it is full of AMAZING stories. I was SO thrilled that one of my junky little comedies was added to a huge list of complete treasures. It's not even limited to the 39 clues, there are PJO stories, Hetalia, um, I think a few Hunger Games, Warriors, Maximum Ride, and even more. And EVERY ONE OF THEM IS BEAUTIFUL!! So, if you want a reading list of amazing stories, just check it out. Do it for me please? I can promise you will be astounded that one of MY stories actually managed to make it in there. Random facts about me: I'm the normal one, it's everyone else who's weird. I have six brothers (I relate to Ginny in a small way) Whenever anyone says to me "I don't get why Bianca took the figurine for Nico," I say "You have the emotional range of a teaspoon." I would be a daughter of Hermes if I was a demigod. I'm quick with my fingers, handy at finding my way around, and good at running. I've never forwarded chain mail. And I'm alive. And my family is healthy. The mottoes of me: If, at first, you don't succeed, come up with a better way of doing it. Love is a verb Pretending is becoming Sleep is more important than homework There is only one you. Happiness is only contagious if you smile If you feel like you're being annoying, stop talking. The glass is half empty- but at least it's not two thirds empty, right? Always assume the best in everyone Revenge is like grapefruit. It's sweet at first, but it leaves a bitter aftertaste. If I speak the languages of men and of angels, Love never ends. 1st Corinthians 13 I was looking at other writer's profiles, and I saw this. If you can catch it, you will be rolling over the floor laughing. Or maybe not. It could be just me. "If your part of the .0000000001 percent of people who does NOT have a MySpace, copy and paste this into your profile. A large percent of writers don't know the difference between 'your' and 'you're'. If you're one of the ones who does know and wants to SLUG them, put this in your profile." I am not going to make a huge list of all the couples I ship, because I know from experience that those lists are rather dull, and that no one wants to read them. Instead, I am going to make one of those completely pointless lists of all my stories I have written (or am writing). Only in this list, I am going to give you a good description and recommendation of my stories, so you don't waste your time reading something you don't want to. Of course, you aren't even going to read this anyway, but I might as well go ahead and make it. Romione: Distance- (Harry Potter) Status: Complete Pairings: Ron/Hermione (duh) Rating: Kplus. I think those 9 year olds can handle a bit of romance. Not much kissing of course. Fact, I'm pretty sure there's no kissing. I can't remember. Oops. This is awkward. Description: This was my first fic, so I think it's the one I was most careful with. Ron is tired of the distance between him and Hermione, and makes up his mind to find a book or something to help him with his girl trouble. After a few unsuccessful attempts, Hermione ends up in an unfortunate accident which sends her to the hospital wing, giving Ron a new goal: Cheer her up. Set sometime near the end of the Half Blood Prince. I recommend for: heh. No one. It's old, old, old writing. I've gotten so much better. Read my other things. Green Eggs and Ham- (Harry Potter) Status: Complete Pairings: None. Well, maybe a teensy bit Vernon/Petunia, since it mentions that Dudley has actually been born (seriously though, no romance). Rating: K Description: I always wondered why people wrote more fanfics to fill in the "19 years later" gap in the Deathly Hallows instead of the "11 years as a muggle" gap in the Sorcerer's Stone (I'm American. It's not "Philosopher's" for me. Deal with it.), so I decided to write a small one shot. After all, those small scenes we see with the Dursleys are pretty funny, why not add a few more? In this story, Harry learns how to make fried eggs. After a few tries, he manages to make a "beautiful" fried egg, but unluckily for him, he has been thinking about his favorite Dr. Seuss story... I'll leave you to read the rest. I recommend for: Cookers. If you have had any experience with making fried eggs before, you will be able to nod and smile at some of the parts. I also recommend it for the people who like reading about kids younger than 11. You can trust me when I say I know how kids act. =P If you don't like my other stories, I highly recommend that you don't read this, since it has my insanely practical sense of humor popping up in random places. Proposing at Christmastime- (Harry Potter) Status: Complete! Yes! Believe it or not, it has ended. ='( Pairings: Ron/Hermione, Harry/Ginny, George/Angelina, Percy/Audry, Bill/Fleur, and, of course, good old Molly/Arthur. So basically all the pairings in canon with the books. Rating: T, for safety and kissing, but if the 10, 11, or 12 year olds want to read it, I promise I won't tell. Description: A few years after the battle of Hogwarts, Ron decides he wants to propose to Hermione. Funny thing is, everyone else is thinking about proposing as well. Teamwork solves everything, and soon they have an elaborate proposal plan that cannot go wrong. Well, actually, it sort of could, just a little, but it shouldn't. This was written after I'd come to an astonishing discovery: Writing proposal fics are really really fun! I recommend for: Whoever wants a break and a laugh. I take great pride in this, and I have realized that the things I enjoy writing turn out best. Of course, I have enjoyed writing all my stories, but I especially loved writing this one. Even though proposals have been a bit overused, I think this one is worth a shot. Oh, one last thing, Fred is dead in this story, but George is not half dead from depression. I hate those stories, because I know George would have known Fred wanted him to get over it eventually. So, this is for everyone, especially the "depressed-George" haters. The First Capture the Flag- (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) Status: Complete (of course) Pairings: Yes, Annabeth likes Luke in this story, but give me a break, she hasn't even met Percy. So a tiny tiny hint of Annabeth/Luke here. If you look carefully. Rating: K Description: Annabeth, a new arrival, has just been asked to participate in a game of capture the flag, and she is determined to win. But, even though the seven year old thinks of herself as menacing, she isn't considered as big of a threat, and as it turns out, she has to rely on pure strategy. But of course, brains always trump. Always. Well, there are those few exceptions. Like when the strategic 7 year old forgot to add border patrol to her calculations. Also known as now. But she just might manage to pull it off. Maybe. No promises. I recommend for: All those people who think of Annabeth as deadly, and not to be messed with. Which is pretty much everyone. 7 years of hard training? Annabeth's a highly dangerous person by then, but what about those times when she was a newbie? The Sky on Your Shoulders- (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) Status: Complete. Done. Finished. The same status as on my other stories. Pairings: Annabeth likes Luke, or Annabeth likes Percy? Or maybe she likes Luke? Don't worry, Percy wins. =P Rating: Kplus. Not that scary. Not that smoochy. Description: This is Annabeth's view of the Titan's Curse, when she was forced to hold the sky. She clings to a desperate thread of hope, that Luke still loves her, that he will suddenly switch sides and become the good guy, that she won't have to suffer anymore. She gives him her life, and he betrays her. She gives him her love, and he tosses it down the mountain. Should she give up? That would be what people expected. That would be what Kronos would prefer. But Annabeth is not the kind of girl who gives up so easily. Oh no. She will fight until she dies. Or until her prince charming comes to rescue her. I recommend for: First off, I recommend for Percabeth shippers, since this is definitely a percabeth fic, but I also recommend to the people who don't like the "They started off happy and they ended happy, they were meant to be" percabeth fics. This is basically a scene where Annabeth lets go of the past and takes a hopeful look at the future. Obviously, you can't just smash someone out of your life, but if you, like me, know that Annabeth wouldn't be so stupid as to hold onto her silly "happily ever after" belief that she liked Luke, even after he had betrayed her, then this is the fic for you. Never Again- (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) Status: Complete (unfinished stories are not my thing!) Pairings: Eh, I don't know if you can call sisterly love a pairing, so I won't put anything in here. Rating: K (me and my K rated oneshots...) Description: Heartbreak of a big sister. I just had to write this. Only certain people can truly understand why Bianca took the figurine, and actually realize exactly how heartbreaking the whole thing was, *cough-bigsisters-cough* so I decided to make this. 'This' is basically a one-shot (is it a or an? "an one-shot" doesn't seem right) of what Bianca could have been thinking before she died. Basically to show non-big sisters what big sister pain is like. I recommend for: All the people who cried when Bianca died (like me) and think she has been unfairly shoved aside as the "girl who died so therefore didn't matter" in the world of fanfiction. Oh, and I also recommend this for the people who didn't cry when Bianca died. This will explain why us criers have such a good reason to be sad, and you won't look down on us as sissies. Well, actually, the criers probably are sissies (as in big sissies). Excuse my horrible sense of humor. The Lost Heroine- (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) Status: INCOMPLETE!!! I apologize, but I have not finished writing this. Never fear! I do NOT EVER abandon my stories. Have not, and never will. Unless I die unexpectedly. Which I probably won't. Edit: I have abandoned this story. I have too many other things I wanted to write. Sorry. I might pick it up again eventually. Who knows. Pairings: Percy/Annabeth as the tragic seperated couple, Jason/Reyna as the subject of Reyna's returning memories, and Leo/Reyna as the "Leo loves girls who will never love him back." Or maybe that will change. I haven't decided. Rating: Kplus Description: Ah, it's that good old "Hera switched Reyna and Annabeth instead of Percy and Jason." So basically, yea. I can't give a good summary/description when my story isn't finished, but I can just say- no one is gay, Leo is crushed on Reyna, Reyna is crushed on Jason, Piper is a bit lovesick (which doesn't show much), Percy is desperate to find Annabeth, and everyone has their awesome moments. Except I skipped the part about Leo and the Cyclops. Oops, I wasn't supposed to tell you that *mental slap* I recommend for: Whoever wants to check out my adventure writing (aka my little brothers who should get away from my laptop and stop reading what I'm typing if they want to live) and the Leo-fans (such as myself). Oh, I almost forgot, the "Piper and Reyna are BOTH awesome" fan club. Especially the "Reyna is awesome" part of that fanclub. And for whoever else wants to read it. Live, Laugh, Love - (The 39 clues) Status: Incomplete, but not on a cliffhanger. NOT and I repeat NOT abandoned! I am taking a break, but I'll get back to this soon. I have plans for it. Also abandoned. Temporarily. I love it, so I think I'll continue it. I hadn't actually finished all the books in the 39 clues universe when I began this, and I hate everything that happened in the next series. Pairings: Ian/Amy and Dan/Natalie (Amian and Natan, is that right? Or maybe it's Danatalie. I prefer the latter, personally) Rating: T this time. Just 'cause. Description: This is not an actual story, so I cannot give a good summary. This is a collection of stories collected (and some written) by Amy Cahill. It focuses on Danatalie, but Amian slips in. I have not got the funny chapters up yet. Be patient. The humor part of this romance/humor story is yet to come, but that doesn't mean I don't have some wicked funny scenes planned. Oh, and take notice, the Author's notes are NOT to be skipped. Yes, I know what you're thinking, but it's not like that. AMY wrote the story, so AMY gets the author's notes. Hmm, now you're interested. I recommend for: Danatalie fans, Amian fans, and anyone else who wants to read a story written about Dan by his older sister. My reviewers seem to enjoy this concept. Thank you reviewers, you made me happy. =) The Percabeth Puzzle - (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) Status: Complete! *dances* Pairings: Percabeth, and if you turn it upside down and squint, Pothema. But I didn't write it as a romance. Description: Poseidon and Athena act extremely immature over the romance that's been blossoming between their two demigod children. Written for a challenge on rebuilding burnt bridges. And now that I've told you that, I guess you can figure out how it ends. I recommend for: Everyone. Read it for Poseidon, guys. Read it if you like Riordan's immature gods. Read it if you want to figure out how on earth Poseidon and Athena realized Percabeth was a thing and somehow didn't destroy the world. Read it if you like rebuilding burnt bridges. Other stories - I'll write a thing on these later. Too lazy right now. Actually, just too busy. Alright then. That's all. I'm done. Hope you have a great week! Bye! |
