I loved the force awakens it was sort of like MY a new hope, the first SW movie I saw in theaters, loved it except for #1 split up and #2 Han's death, and I was still pretty much just a kid but it still killed me inside.
I mean, you can turn their kid to the Dark Side but don't split them then kill the precious Hufflepuff Han Solo (yeah fight me he's a Hufflepuff Wizarding World Fans) RIGHT #%$ ING AFTER THEYRE REUNITED! #1 my shipper's heart broke #2 you don't just KILL OF Han Solo #3 that is so #%$ ing out of character for him to do! Just leave! He's a #%$ ing Hufflepuff loyal af to his family he wouldn't just DO THAT! UGHHHHH! THERE'S A REASON HE CAME BACK IN A NEW HOPE! HE WOULD'NT LEAVE HIS FAMILY HES HAN SOLO! HES GOT A LOYAL STREAK AS BIG AS A GALAXY AND A HEART DOUBLE THE SIZE! COME ON DISNEY! MY OTP DEAR why why why...

Like my old fried, after seeing tfw, came to my house once and we were discussing tfw and she said something annoying and snarky (not in an endearing way) along the lines... No not along the lines, she said this exactly: "Han broke up with Leia."
As I said above, we were still just kids but... Honestly to put it like that, to put 30 years of pain and sadness and heartbreak that genuine L-O-V-E love came out of and then to have that fade back into pain and sadness and heartbreak in such a delicate way... And just say that they "broke up?" I understand that you kind of get it more when you're older and to a kid it may seem like they "broke up", but having them not together causes genuine heartbreak to an older person, or even to a 10ish year old that pays close attention, and something that undermines a good relationship to a younger person, or even a 10ish or maybe even 11ish year old.
And to any 10/11ish or even 9ish year old (even though I don't know how your parents let you onto this site... Maybe your reading this in the middle of the night when your supposed to be asleep on a smuggled device. Don't worry, I used to do the same... And I still do) I am not suggesting that you are stupid, I know personally how annoying that is. All I'm saying is my friend, heck, even me at times, were a bit dumb at that age. And if you do understand Han and Leia's dynamic, good for you!
And even some of my friends who are 10/11ish (and I do mean real friends, not just some kids who I talk to sometimes) can be a bit blind to their relationship, which effects me just as much as it did then... Meaning I tear up slightly, can't breath right, and my chest contracts. Oh well.
Anyway, that old friend of mine... We're still okayish friends but after that a bit of a gap opened up between us, at least for me. I can't look at her without honking how ignorant she can be at times... But I'm a lot more serious then her.
But still, I love tfa and I'm writing a bit of a fix-it fix in which Han stays. Oh and also survives Starkiller Base. But I'll probably not post it for awhile because my parents are a tad overprotective and they won't let me sign into anything. So awhile as in 3 ish years. Or I could write it in my next review. It'll be short like a 3 paragraph summary.

The first three parts /especially/ capture their relationship - friendship, sometimes comfort, the tension (proposing in the middle of a fight sounds like something he would do!) and bickering - and that's why I enjoyed it so much. Thank you for this!

So many things I love in this story. Probably my very favourite fanfiction ever. Everytime I read it (and that must be around fifty times) I get the same emotions, the same flow, the same chills that I get when I'm watching the movies. It is really incredible how well you captured the essence of Han and Leia relationship.
You have a unique, beautiful, pure, subtle style which gives your story a real soul. The humor touches are great and very judiciously brought. Your sentences are elegant and well phrased. Your parentheses and their repetitions build a fully fledged world inside your story, a fairy tale with its own codes.
The images you use to describe the characters and their feelings are extremly accurate, you have the gift to put the right, perfect words on the things. The "soulful, beautiful, chocolate brown eyes" strike me everytime as the perfect depiction of Leia's eyes.
And finally the story in itself. The characters interactions. The situations. The dialogues. Once again you touch perfection. It looks as if the characters were alive, as if Han and Leia were really speaking in front of us. For me, it is as if this episodes were part of the movies, they have a real existence. When I reflect upon Han and Leia relationship, I take in account your story in all its details.
And with your last sentence, you summed up my whole post Return of the Jedi canon: yes, " they live happily ever after. Because they have their love, and for once, that is enough." The sheer beauty, truth and maybe slight touch of humour of this sentence almost brought tears to my eyes.
Thanks for writing this story, this pure marvel that I will never stop reading over and over.

I've read all of your stories and the others' as well years ago and actually revisit a lot of them every year
But after Carrie passed away, I still, for some reason feel pain, even though I've never met her.
And reading all these fics, gives me some solace .
Thank you once again and forever for all your works.

Um... Han Leaves her after their son becomes a bady and when he returns he dies after Leia asks him to bring their son home so they do for a while then Kylo messes every thing up
