Author has written 12 stories for Baldur's Gate, Phantom of the Opera, Lord of the Rings, Final Fantasy VII, and LXG. Hey everyone! Finally decided to change my Bio, took long enough = ) You look up only to find yourself staring at the ominous citadel looming before you. Unable to fight the strange urge that suddenly fills your body, you begin to creep cautiously toward it. As you draw near, lightning flashes across the sky, illuminating the citadel and all the lands surrounding it. In that brief second you are able to tell that the person, or thing, that lives here isn't someone you want to mess with. Upon seeing the black walls, the spires that seem to twist and writhe their way up to the heavens, and the odd darkness that seems to hang around the place, your heart skips a beat. As you quickly do a double take at the castle, your body urges you forward until you are standing before the black gate. Your mind is screaming at you to turn back, but upon hearing a haunting melody from somewhere deep within, your mind abandons all thought and a peaceful kind of bliss settles over you. You run your fingers over the door and are surprised to be greeted by a bumpy surface. Upon closer inspection you realize, to no small amount of horror, that the small bumps are actually tiny symbols. The symbols seem to portray the belief, or perhaps way of life, that the ruler of the citadel follows. On the left door you see thousands of tiny daggers, all with snakes entwining them, with somehting dropping off of each. Whether it is blood or poison is impossible to tell. On the right door are a thousand skulls, all encircled by a halo of some sort. Against your better judgement, you slowly manage to push open one of the heavy iron doors, loosing all of your strength in the process. As you cross the threshold into the extravegant sitting room, your breath is taken away. Many things in this room amaze you, but out of them all is the magestic grand piano sitting in the exact center of the room, which seems to be playing itself. "Hello young one. Welcome to this little place which I like to call my home. You are trembling, is it from fear or excitement? Perhaps a little bit of both is what fills your heart." Before you suddenly appears a woman. She is both breathtakingly beautiful and horribly frightening at the same time. She has long raven black hair, flowing down her back, and green eyes that seem to pierce your soul. She is remarkably thin yet a strange power seems to fill the air around her. The one thing that you notice the most however are the large, jet black wings that seem to sprout from her shoulder blades. They look like a twisted version of an angel's wings. Then you noticed her clothing. Adorning her frame is a long black robe with blood red trimmings around the collar, bottom hem, and wrists. The robe is slit to the thigh on one side to allow for easier movement. She wears thigh-high black boots with a high stelleto heel. Once your inspection of her is complete, you eyes find their way back to her face and you are slightly frightened to find her smiling at you. As she begins to speak again, you notice that as her painted lips part you can see two fangs peeking out at you. "Come now, don't be frightened. That's better, now tell me, what do you think of my home? Hmm...speechless I see. I suppose I shall take that in a good way. Or perhaps you are simply in awe. No? Well then it must be the music which has dulled your senses. It is beautiful, is it not?" Her eyes wander over to the piano, and as you gaze follows hers, you are shocked to see a man sitting on the bench. His eyes are closed and his body seems to sway to the music he plays. "My dear, allow me to introduce Erik. He is a man of many talents, but I believe you will find music to be his strongest one. He is one of my...guests. There are many others that you will meet if you wander enough. Please, make yourself at home." With that the woman bows her head to you and disappears in a cloud of smoke. A voice then bounces off the walls and echoes in your ears. "By the way, my name is Shadow. I am your mistress now." As you wander through the many winding hallways of the citadel, the music never leaves you and you are kept in a state of bliss and wonder. Eventually you find yourself in what you suspect to be the library. Your mouth drops open as you see the hundreds upon hundreds of books. There are a couple though that you can tell are the mistresses favorites. These books are kept in beautiful glass cases and adorn the middle and corners of the rooms. As you walk closer to the cases you are able to make out the names on the covers. Phantom of the Opera The Lord of the Rings Hawksong Demon In My View Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban After the Dancing Days The Avatar Series The Vampire Lestat You move closer to run your fingers over the cases. Right as you are about to touch the one known as The Vampire Lestat, someone comes up behind you. You spin around and are greeted by a lovely sight. One of the most beautiful men you have ever seen is standing in front of you. As he smiles you can tell he is a vampire. "Find anything you like?" He asks in a silky voice. "I'm afraid I must disagree with Shadow on this point. I find books ever so boring." He lets out a barely concealed yawn. Then he offers you his hand. "Come with me and I'll show you something truly interesting. At least I found it so, but I had never seen it before. By the way, I am know as Lestat." Wondering if you should trust him or not, you follow behind him. As you make each turn, you attempt to memorize your way. Soon it becomes impossible however and you give up the attempt. Eventually you come to a large room. On one side there is a large counter with many types of drinks on it. They range everywhere from water to liquor to, here you give a small shudder, blood. You notice that there are many comfortable looking chairs and couches scattered throughout the room. There is a device which you recognize as a television on the far wall. Lounging on one of the chairs is a very strange looking man. Lestat gives you a wink and then wanders over to what you have assumed was the bar. Meanwhile the man on the chair has turned around and is looking at you curiously. He seems attractive, in a don't give a care bad boy way. His hair is flaming red and is tied back into a pony tail while the front of it sticks up in spikes. He has a pair of sunglasses ontop of his head and he is wearing a very messy uniform. He gives you a lazy smirk then turns his head to yell at someone behind him. "Hey Mort, looks like we've got new company!" You see another man walk around the chair and come toward you. At first you're shocked by his appearance. He is green all the way from his hair to his skin. His right ear is pierced. Once you get past the original shock, you realize that he is talking to you. "Ello humie. Whut's sumone like yew doing 'ere?" After a minor explanation he smiles at you and you see how odd his teeth look. "Well then, I guess this means that yew're one of us now, don't it? Welcome to the group then luv. By the way, I'm Mortimer, most call me Toad though. That slob over there is Reno." Reno gives you a wave and a grin, then returns to watching the television. You notice a couple of movies that seem to stick out from the others on the rack by the television. Lord of the Rings The Mummy The Mummy Returns Subspecies Blade I The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen The Princess Bride X-men Pirates of the Carribean Slayers:the complete Series Cowboy Bebop Trigun Gundam Wing Outlaw Star Blue Seed On the opposite side of the TV, you notice a couple of the game systems you used to use as a child. You suppose that it must get boring even around a place such as this. Perhaps even people as dangerous looking as this could enjoy a good game every once in a while. A few titles poke out at you from the alcove in which they all nest. Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate: Shadows of Amn Neverwinter Nights Septerra Core Final Fantasy (various copies) Lunar Xenosaga Drakengard Soul Caliber You turn around and walk back to one of the more comfortable looking chairs. Sitting down you smile and start to get used to being in this strange "house". Perhaps your stay won't be so bad. |
