![]() Author has written 15 stories for Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin, Sailor Moon X-overs, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy: Unlimited, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Yu-Gi-Oh. I am entitled to my own opinion and don't hold it against me if I agree to disagree with yours. The list below is only here to inform readers about what I like, don't like, and what you'll probably find in one of my fan fictions: I write mostly crossovers, and most of them have a dash of romance and drama (and angst, lots of it). I am a fan of impossible pairings, as long as they have to do with a favorite character of mine. I typically hate cliché opposite's attract pairings where the girl is stupid, but good hearted and the man is your typical Byronic hero type (tall, dark, handsome and angsty) and standard heroine types (i.e. the young, sporty, pure hearted good girls). Most of my favorite characters are side characters and characters that aren't popular. So no wonder my current obsessions are Sailor Pluto (Sailor Moon) and Kikyou (Inuyasha) - there are simply not enough stories about or attention given period to cool, mature female characters. Though I tend to write these women not as completely impassive or stoic, lonely and sad, but with a touch of humor and a dash of femme fatale. I also play video games, so expect some fan fiction for that genre too. I'm not a fan of it, but I can tolerate yuri. I also like yaoi, but rarely write stories in this genre and prefer to read it instead. I try to stick to the original personality of all characters if, and when, I can. But be warned: I am not afraid to go OOC (out of character) or read it only if the story takes me there with a great plot and excellent writing and, most importantly, makes me believe in the character's personality change due to the setting and events in the fan fiction. None of us are the original author's/creator's/copyright holders of all this fan fiction on the Internet, so not even the best fan fic writer can get it right 100% of the time. Also, no one likes a Mary Sue and I'm no exception. To me the difference between a Mary Sue and a good original character is intent. I don't intend to make Mary Sues (or their male equivalent) now or in the future. However, I will make a decent supporting cast if I feel a story needs it. Finally, I'm a very slow writer. I write about two to three chapters a year if I'm lucky, so keep those author/story alerts on. I'm a working adult and not a school girl, so life and work keeps me busy. So this snail pace is not likely to change. I've been writing fan fiction for 15 plus years and I've noticed you either quit writing fan fiction when you exit your teens or you try to write when you can. A chapter a week, or even a month, is impossible for me now. Disclaimer: I don't own any of the games, manga, anime, characters etc. that I base my fan fiction on; However, all my plots, original characters, and any fictional worlds I create (that are not connected to any existing copyrighted or creator/company owned stories, games, etc.) are mine and should not be copied in any way, shape, or form without permission, and this includes any original poems, original songs, etc. and any of the actual text that I have written. This excludes any text that I have quoted such as songs, poems, or text from other sources (for example textbooks, websites, or novels, etc.). Please do not print my stories, share them on other sites, or use them in any way, shape, or form without my permission. On Permanent Hiatus: Kikyou 7 Days Darkness Fairy Tale |
