General background: Hiya, I'm Kat. I'm a part-time college student, and boy is it both different and exactly the same as high school (in other words, I still suck at homework). I'm 20, autistic, queer/pansexual and nonbinary (please use they/them/theirs pronouns for me, feel free to PM me if you're going to be respectful and would like to know more).

Summer of 2012 I started getting into Fan Fics, and I have to admit that I was sorely disappointed by the lack of correct grammar/spelling/punctuation/word usage. I decided to remedy this by creating my own fan fiction (which I may or may not post WILL NOT POST. EVER. DON'T LOOK IT UP IT'S RIFE WITH MISOGYNY AND MARY-SUENESS AND GARBAGE). I started off with MyCandyLove (an online dating-simulation game) fictions, and from there discovered FanFiction net and eventually branched off to reading Jak and Daxter and Sonic the Hedgehog fictions (dark times...). I am currently writing gave up on three MCL fics, none of which I've posted on here, I've all but completed my main Homestuck fic, (Broken Thoughts [SolKat]), I just have to finish the epilogue (I PROMISE I'M STILL WORKING ON IT [dated Feb. 2018]), I have another Homestuck fic I should probably just delete cause it was WAY over my head and I don't really care about it anymore (When Good Intentions Go Awry), and a long TaVriska smutfic I'm going to post when I never going to finish (Confidence is a Vice, trust me it's bad and awkward and weird to read and just not well written, but it was good practice *shrug*), and a short little angsty Fruits Basket one-off (please go read it, I'm really proud of it). There are a couple of fics I want to write, like this HUMONGOUS Dark Cloud fic I wanna create but I just don't have the energy or the time, and I'm thinking of writing one for Warriors that I've been considering since I was in eighth grade. I've also started a Virtua Fighter fic that I'm never going to post or finish either (it was okay but I don't really know where to go with it, or want to). Out of all of them, I've only posted a few because I'd like to write them at my own pace and not feel obligated to write.

My favorite band in the entire world is Streetlight Manifesto, they're a ska-punk band and they create my soul-music. Eve 6 is a close second. I love pretty much all of both bands' songs, there isn't a song amongst their albums I'll skip. The Suicide Machines and Stacked Like Pancakes are up there too, along with Hi i'm Case, System of a Down, Third Eye Blind, Bad Religion, and Starbomb. Ska's one of my favorite genres of all time, third-wave, specifically, but I enjoy music from many other genres as well. I will often arbitrarily (and subconsciously) decide, "Hey, I really fucking love this song/group of songs," and then I'll have one or a couple songs alternately blaring in my mind until I listen to them so much I get sick of them for a while. Usually it's something by Streetlight but I've recently had the entirety of the Jet Set Radio Soundtrack playing on the jukebox in my brain. At least it's good music. Try being unable to willingly listen to anything but the Gummy Bear Song in Spanish for a week. I am a victim of my mind.

Anime's pretty rad yo, but I don't really watch much TV other than that (except Spongebob, because who doesn't watch Spongebob? Old Spongebob, not new. The new stuff's crap). I don't like to watch movies either, because I can't handle sitting and staring at a screen without DOING anything for like an hour and a half (I can always make time for my faves tho; Out Cold and Ten Inch Hero. Some of the shit I watch/have watched: Soul Eater, Fruits Basket, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Sword Art Online, Inuyasha, D. Gray-Man, Kiki's Delivery Service, Teen Titans (not really sure if this one counts), Gurren Lagann (so fucking good), Kill la Kill, and Pokemon Indigo League. Despite the list, I don't watch a lot of TV or Movies in my free time. I much prefer YouTube, like the Game Grumps and Achievement Hunter (RED VS. BLUE. RWBY. I AM BECOME DEATH).

I don't like food, therefore, I don't eat. ._. Seriously, though, I really don't like food, I don't like cooking, and I don't like eating. Being autistic affects how I perceive texture, and a lot of food textures make me gag. Most beverages are fine, but I don't really like food. If I had to pick a favorite dish, it would probably be spaghetti, or maybe a really tender, medium-rare steak. Junk food's pretty good, I can deal with that. My complete lack of interest in food paired with my picky eating sensory issues means I have a very difficult time eating regularly, whether I want to or not. I usually cycle through a list of like 10 meals, depending on what I feel I can stomach at any given moment.

Video Games are my only form of sustenance. Consoles in my possession: a Wii; a PS2; a PS3; one broken Sega Dreamcast and one that works; a broken Sega Saturn (the console itself works but the controller's jank and they're FIFTY FUCKING DOLLARS?????); a working Dreamcast emulator (nullDC); a Saturn emulator (SSF); a snazzy expensive ass gaming PC, an old laptop that's literally falling apart; an ancient desktop PC running Windows XP that doesn't connect to the internet; a DS Lite (which doesn't really work anymore, freezes half the time I try to use it and doesn't detect most cartridges); a 3DS; an everything from original Gameboy to GameboyAdvance emulator (VisualBoyAdvance); and a Samsung Note 5. I have a nice television I got for my birthday at my grandparents' house, and use the 50 inch flat screen in the living room at my parents'. My gaming library contains; roughly 15 Wii games, over 40 PS2 games, over 30 PS3 games, at least 25 DC games (plus a shit-ton of home-burnt games, like at least 30 more and counting), around 20 Saturn CDs (plus dozens more ROMs), approximately 60 PC disks and over 200 steam games (the vast majority of which are shared with me, not owned), I'm guessing like 15 DS cartridges scattered throughout the house, and only about 5 gaming apps on my phone (I've come to find that they're too time consuming to really bother with). Ultimate bragging rights, motherfucker.
