Author has written 29 stories for Alice in Wonderland, Phantom of the Opera, Hobbit, Nightmare Before Christmas, Sherlock, Beauty and the Beast, Guardians of the Galaxy, Mediator, Labyrinth, Good Omens, Dresden Files, and X-Men. Update: I now have a Tumblr account! Come follow me and ask me questions about fandoms and fics at ! Yeah, desperate advertising. I know. Oh, the life of a starving artist...where should I begin? Well, first of all, I have no name, age, race, or gender. I'm nearly incorporeal. It makes it very difficult for people to recognize me sometimes. A bit about my tastes and preferences: I'm an aspiring writer and art historian with a penchant for Surrealism. Delightfully strange stuff. I like to read a little too much and have a very active imagination. I'm the kind of person who will research history extensively for the purpose of writing and my own curiosity. I was once asked why I was looking up the history of doughnuts...long story. In short, I'm a colossal nerd. But I do have some semblance of a life, which must count for something. And in case you haven't noticed, I'm very sarcastic. Favorites: Music-- the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Coldplay, K T Tunstall, Nox Arcana, Adam Hurst, POTO and Les Mis soundtracks (musical and non), classical, Celtic, and medieval. I've recently come across a band called Blackmore's Night and now have a mild obsession. Oh, and Voltaire. How could I forget Voltaire? Movies--LOTR trilogy, the Hobbit, Syfy's Alice, the Illusionist, Hugo, Phantom of the Opera (Kopit and 2004 versions) Books--Too many. Top of the list are Tana French's detective novels, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, and The Thirteenth Tale. Need to get into more classics. I've read Leroux's novel, Susan Kay's Phantom, and, unfortunately, the Forsythian nightmare known as Phantom of Manhattan. TV--Dr. Who, Sherlock, Cold Case (I know, I know.) Game: Cards Against Humanity Recently I've had a few people asking me what I'm still working on and/or pleading for me not to forget certain stories. So here is a comprehensive list of what's in progress and completed. WIPs: A Moment Too Late The last petal falls as the Beast has Gaston dangling over the edge of the roof, and, though Belle has returned, it is too late for her to break the spell. To make matters worse, Cogsworth suspects that she may have something to do with the attack on the castle. Belle decides to remain with the Beast, and together they resolve to find the Enchantress to set things right. All Who Wander Bridget Davis is the very definition of average. Nothing out of the ordinary ever happens to this girl...Until she finds herself stuck in Middle-Earth with more problems than just thirteen dwarves, a wizard, and a hobbit to contend with. No. She can't even communicate with them, and the results nearly frighten her to death. L'Historie D'un Mort-Vivant Meg Giry's daughter, Ninette, knows nothing of the Opera Ghost until the day Christine's obituary is printed. Months later, a chance meeting with a journalist-turned-author leads her to learn more than she cared to know about the Phantom of the Opera. Her adventures may prove dangerous. ON HIATUS: Comfort and Care Orianne Duval, a young woman with no future prospects, is traveling across France in search of employment. Eventually, she finds herself in a little village outside of Rouen, where she is met with the offer of being a nursemaid to a supposed monster. She accepts, leaving her emotions and heart to guide her in the care of little Erik. Kay-based. Apologies to those who are waiting on an update. Am reworking the ending. COMPLETED: A Fallen Compatriot When Kili takes a fall from a cliff in the Misty Mountains, Fili initially blames Bilbo for their misfortune. But when Fili and Kili are sent back to Rivendell, Fili must decide whether or not to continue the journey to Erebor alone, facing an even greater danger than he ever thought possible. Petty quarrels are unwise if he wishes to save himself and his brother. Bloody Rose A more in-depth retelling of the story behind the curse. The Beast realizes, after he lets Belle go, that he might have retained more humanity than he thought...but it may be too late to act on it. Bottled Emotions Syfy version. Will Hatter ever see Alice again? He's willing to do the unthinkable just to find out. Oneshot. Double Dead Jack's sleigh has been shot down, and as he plummets to Earth, Jack muses over his decisions leading up to that point. When he finally lands, he doesn't quite reach the epiphany we'd expect. Has the Pumpkin King truly been defeated by his own actions? Feels. Oneshot. Ennui A day in the life of Sherlock Holmes, in which he has boiled a human foot, needs a pencil, and causes John to lose his marbles. Redemption A short view into Erik's psyche outlining the events of the book. Nothing impressive, mostly drabble. The Actor Eisenheim spends the months following Sophie's supposed death in grief and despair. But some of his misery may not be entirely an act. Uncertainty After handing over the signed contract, Bilbo begins to wonder if joining Thorin's company was really the best thing to do. Midst doubting himself, he finds that he has friends...or doesn't he? Set in the deluge/Trollshaw scenes. No slash. Why Can't We Be Friends? Little Kili meets a human girl in the fields outside his home in Ered Luin, and they decide to be friends. Other people, however, are not pleased with this arrangement and Kili learns a difficult lesson-Men and Dwarves cannot be friends. Oneshot. I have a severe case of Plot Bunny Syndrome. If you have PBS please copy and paste this in your profile. The signs and symptoms of PBS include: Random and Sudden Plot Bunnies. Plot Bunnies that will not leave you alone. Rapid breeding Plot Bunnies. ( You recieve a plot bunny that spawns another, and another, and another... you get it.) Interrupting story Plot Bunnies. (Don't you hate it when you're in the middle of the story and then you get a plot bunny for a completely different story?) Related Plot Bunnies and/or Unrelated Plot Bunnies, damn them! |
