I didn't cry in the beginning, though it was not for lack of surprise, though I should have expected it with the brief summary.

No, it was when God appeared, and He and Crowley began to talk...that I completely lost it.

So, now here I am crying happily at the words, because apparently I am so much more of an Aziraphale and Crowley fan than I'd ever realized before.

I enjoy the way your mind works. It's so rare to find what I call a "complete" fic. That is, one that stays true to the canon and characters, contains no noticeable flaws in spelling/grammar/mechanics/usage, is of decent length and makes good use of every word, and is even spacede so as to be aesthetically pleasing to boot. And as a plus, you keep your work free of excessive commenting. You are a gem among ficwriters, and I commend you.

As for this fic in particular, it is beautiful. The illustration of God is very basic and unassuming, just stereotypical enough to keep within a reader's without stretching the imaginaiton; compassionate and merciful, even gender neutral.

Crowley's sacrifice is beautiful, and he stays in character even when expressing his more tender emotions, not taking time to angst over his decision, or regret it afterwards.

What more can I say. Again, bravo.

I read this story once, and then was too emotionally charged (meaning bawling my eyes out) to remember to leave a review. So I came back and read it a second time (because it's just that good) before hitting the purple button. As it now stands, I cried the first time (first of sadness then of joy...or some related emotion) I read it, and now I'm crying again. I never cry the second time I read something.

Good fic. Definitely going on my favorites.
