![]() Author has written 20 stories for Lord of the Rings, Avatar: Last Airbender, Inuyasha, Dragon Ball Z, Hunter X Hunter, and Attack on Titan/進撃の巨人. The Basics: Gender: Female Age: Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway. Personality: I am randomness personified. Pineapple. Bio: I'm currently an English teacher in a small Wisconsin school, but I have been writing and reading fanfiction on for over a decade. That's right, I've been active on for longer than some members have even been in school. Before logging on, I had been writing fanfiction since I was around the age of ten, without actually knowing others did such a thing. I just did it for myself, purely because my imagination was bursting with ideas begging to be poured out on paper. It was a liberating experience to finally discover the internet and the rich, vibrant fanfiction communities it offered. For the first time, I realized that I wasn't the only person who found joy in writing about their favorite characters from literature, movies, or television, and I jumped headlong into it. I have never looked back. Concerning Updates: As a young teen and college student I had much free time to dedicate to writing. However, now that I'm an adult I have considerably less time, due to those pesky things call a "job" and "responsibilities." As I am a teacher, I have summers and several holiday breaks off, and usually I'll be more active during those periods. When school is in session, I rarely--if at all--have the time necessary to get into the mindset that is necessary to write. Some authors are like machines and can crank out many chapters in a week; I am just the opposite. I scrutinize and double-check and change things often. I'm almost never satisfied with my own work, and that makes it difficult to finally tell myself, "Okay, you're ready to post!" As a result, updates will be sporadic, and sometimes few or far between. With my current projects, I'm determined to update only as soon as I'm able to post only the best quality of writing, however long it takes. Please be patient if you're a fan. Communities Joined: I am a member of two communities: Neo Z Fighters: A friendly, active community of Dragon Ball Z fans, who write an extraordinary collection of high-quality works. There are truly wonderful people here, and even better stories. I urge you to check them out. Life of Zutara: A massive collection of Avatar: The Last Airbender stories focused on the relationship between our favorite Fire Nation prince and a certain waterbender. Other Websites: Wattpad Profile: Well, you know what they say: "If you can't beat them, join them." After noticing how much time my students spent on this writing platform, I decided to try to expand my horizons and join up too. So far the experience has been good. If you want to read a slightly different version of my story Softly, Darkly (under the new name Black Butterfly), this is the place to go. Deviantart Profile: In addition to writing fanfiction, I also practice drawing as a hobby. My style wavers between anime/manga and stylized realism. Here is where you can view my newest digital work, get previews and larger sizes of my story covers, view commissions I've drawn for fellow fanfiction writers, and see some of the art that I drew years ago and am now working on digitizing. NO LONGER BEING UPDATED. STORIES: A short summary of each of my tales and their current status. Softly, Darkly: PG-12 (T) Drama/Tragedy/Romance. No one else wanted the job, so she took it. Nothing else was amusing to him, so he tested her. Neither of them fully realized the gravity of their choices, but only one of them would survive. Just begun. Expect a few weeks/months between chapter updates. In the Absence of Light: PG-13 (T) Angst/Tragedy. In the absence of light...everything, even the most deeply hidden part of ourselves, is illuminated. One-shot. Complete. Secretly: PG-13 (T) Tragedy/Drama. She was a Hunter: An eager explorer selected to embark on one of the expeditions to the Dark Continent. She never expected to fall in love with one of the strangely beautiful, vaguely human creatures she discovered there. The child was the unfortunate consequence of their union, her gravest mistake, and her most precious secret…so she named him "Hisoka." A theoretical one-shot. Complete. The Crimson Stain: PG (K) Drama/Suspense. Lord Frieza is troubled by the Saiyans' growing proficiency for killing. He fears that soon the increasing population of soldier-slaves could produce a legendary warrior akin to the one who was rumored to have murdered his ancestor, and decides that something must be done. A short, completely canon vignette. Complete. Clarity: PG-13 (T) Romance/Drama. Vegeta doesn't know how to react when Bulma asks him one very important question. One-shot. Completely canon, in-character fluff. Complete. Divergence: PG-13 (T) Angst/Adventure/Drama. Divergence: (noun) deviation from something such as a typical pattern or expressed wish. The sporadic reemergence of Goku’s Saiyan tendencies on Planet Namek leaves his life in sudden disarray, and triggers an irreversible chain of events that no one— even those from the future—can foresee. Vegeta, Bulma, Trunks, and Gohan are also main characters. On hiatus, probably won't pick it up again. Imperfect Symmetry: PG-13 (T) Adventure/Drama/Sci-fi. Post Cell Saga. Having destroyed the androids and restored the world's peace, Trunks grows restless with his new life of mediocrity. Twenty years in the past, with both Cell and Goku dead, and Vegeta grows equally despondent. When the elder Saiyan discovers a technique that can breach dimensional walls and then shows up on Trunks's doorstep nearly dead, the two must work together to confront a sinister, unexpected, and all-too-familiar enemy. On hold, I haven't forgotten about this story. I consider it my magnum opus. I just feel burned out by it right now. I'll finish it someday. Fortune's Fool: PG-13 (T) Romance/Angst. Post Inuyasha: The Final Act. Sesshoumaru is perplexed when he discovers Kagome's collection of school books, and demands that she teach the illiterate Rin to read and write. Rin's writing lessons show Kagome a side of Sesshoumaru she didn't know existed, and Sesshoumaru's growing appetite for literature show him a side of humanity he didn't know he could love. First chapter up. I may not continue this story; sorry to any readers who are disappointed. The Gift: PG-13 (T) Drama/Romance. One-shot. It should have been no different that any other night. The metallic scent of blood clung in the moist air. But this blood-scent was different. It was one Sesshoumaru recognized, and it could only mean one thing: Somewhere, a young priestess lay dying. Complete. Rekindled: PG-13 (T) Romance/Drama. Post-finale. Newly-appointed Fire Lord Zuko shoulders the burden of world-wide political reform. He and Katara begin their campaign in Ba Sing Se, where they meet many obstacles to their cause-including their growing attachment to one another. The first 8 chapters are up, but I’m struggling with this story. I'll try not to give up on it, but don't expect updates very often. The Masquerade: PG-13 (T) Romance/Drama. Prince Zuko reluctantly agrees to represent the royal family at his father's Royal Masquerade Ball. Zuko prepares to endure a torturous night, but when he encounters a disguised Katara at the ball, an unexpected romance will bloom. Now, an injured and frustrated Zuko is forced by his uncle to hide from his sister with the Avatar and his friends. To add to his misery, Zuko must suffer through daily healing sessions with Katara. 12 chapters currently posted - two or three more to go. Anticipate long waits before it's completely finished. What feelings will form between them, and how can they help each other escape the deadly grip of Zhao... yet again? Complete. The Cheating Darkness Saga: PG-13 (T), Romance/Drama/Adventure. Doomed forever to be a slave, and forced to fight and kill to survive, he can only dream of escape. Can befriending a young slave girl and her gladiator brother bring them all the hope they need...or will it bring a curse from the Dark Lord himself? Complete. 2.) Cheating Darkness Part II: Legolas and Eressa have finally escaped to safety. But is Sauron still stalking them? And do the Dark Lord's interests lie in Legolas and Eressa themselves...or in their unborn child? Complete. 3.) Cheating Darkness Part III: Legolas already lost his beloved wife--he'd do anything to protect his son Ithildor now, even if it means hiding his own past. Forever on Hold. The Song of the White Wood: PG-13 (T), Action/Adventure/Drama. This was actually my first fanfic I ever wrote. What will happen to them, especially when Legolas discovers the secret past of the people that live there? Complete. The Well of Souls: PG-13 (T), Drama/Action/Adventure. Sequel to "The Song of the White Wood." The War for Middle Earth is over, and Legolas has returned home. But his memory is still haunted by the thought of Mithrendol. Can it be that the treacherous elf's soul escaped death yet again? Forever on Hold. THANKS: To everybody who put me on their favorites lists or author alert lists, and everybody who reviews.
