The Anguished One chapter 1 . 4/30/2019 This was both a nice examination in how Vegeta struggles to mesh his Saiyan upbringing with how different humans are, and just a cute scene between him and Bulma. Well done. |
kitsuK8 chapter 1 . 3/27/2015 That was just adorable! Such a well written piece and you keep them all in character as well. Just wonderful! |
vbfandragonballz chapter 1 . 2/5/2015 That was lovely! Not many people can write him in character and in love at the same time. Thanks. |
Dino-Rogue chapter 1 . 7/31/2014 If I may put it this way, Vegeta... then, I love this fic! :) Love indeed has many meanings, depending on the person who says it, feels it, gives or takes it; or even a thing, at times, like this sweet, but so very true and beautiful piece! Enlightening, too. In an odd, butreal way, Vegeta's own brand of 'love' reminds us that love's very definition goes beyond mere words, and that we cannot simply throw the word and its meaning around that easily. Aww, nice job with this! Ah, and Vegeta even enlightened us about Goku's true Saiyan nature; still fighting on, despite knowing that his loved ones do need him here on Earth; only difference is, Goku does not hold on to that nature too tightly, unlike Vegeta. Understandable, since the prince had been raised in their planet itself, but as we've seen, this does not stop Vegeta from being capable of not just feeling, but giving love, even when he refuses to believe and admit this. Lovely fic, awesome! |
Crimson chapter 1 . 5/18/2014 Hello, just letting you know that I love this short fic. In fact, I like most of your fics amd not only dbz. Thank you for these wonderful stories! |
Sofia Volpina chapter 1 . 4/4/2014 Hey, wonderful story you have here! I’ve read it before and I’ve noticed that I didn’t get to review it then, which is quite uncustomary for me. Your style is brilliantly perfect so it was a pleasure to read this fic. I loved how you managed to keep the characters in-character while acting very, very realistic at the same time. The range of emotions that they go through, the way they interact, I find it all to be very natural and powerful at the same time. I enjoyed seeing the discrepancy between what Vegeta thinks and feels, what he says aloud, and what Bulma understands, and how she throws it all back in his face. It’s quite frustrating how she turns everything that he says against him, although none of his statements are intended to hurt her. And at the same time, she acts like this through no fault of her own. It’s perfectly understandable that she needs at least a minimal reassuring that the man, that she has a kid with, cares about her. The thought, that Vegeta may actually have no inherent notion of love, never crossed my mind, but it seems so plausible. To be honest, I’m impressed at the emotional depth that the story reaches. And for some reason, I almost felt my heart sink when I read the phrase: “Yet you insist that all of that doesn’t mean anything, until I use this word that means nothing to me.” And then Bulma’s answer did nothing to ease the tension. I just loved that part! You are obviously a talented writer, but most of all, you have a talent for exploring and conveying emotion in writing! But I believe you know this already. :) Thanks for this high-quality one-shot! Sofia |
ViolaHarmony chapter 1 . 2/1/2014 This is very well done. I adore Bulma and Vegeta, but we don't get nearly enough interaction between them in the anime, and as much as I love B/V stories, it's hard to find ones that keep them in-character in a romantic setting. But this, THIS was completely believable and incredibly romantic and sweet without compromising the characters' natures. It makes sense that Vegeta would struggle with Bulma's question because Saiyans don't really have any concept of love. But even if the anime doesn't address their relationship very much, the few scenes that do and all the implied situations make me believe that they mean SOMETHING to each other and that those feeling for each other develops into a strong bond. Thanks for this beautiful piece. :) |
tomorrow4eva chapter 1 . 1/19/2014 I like this! Words are important, and something many people don't pay attention to is that even words we think we use the same can mean different things to different people. Vegeta was very clever to insist on using his own words, and having her define his. It meant that his true meaning could come through. Bulma is right: you do need to hear some words, because words are powerful. I think I'm more in love with the words in this story then the pairing. :) I love words. |
Apollo1147 chapter 1 . 12/9/2013 Okay... I am a smiling gooey idiot at the moment. So the flow and everything was great, and as always your characterisations were brilliant considering the situation, especially on Vegeta's part. I think you have completely got him down to a tee. The ending was perfect. I am not normally a fan of one shots because I feel that there can always be more, but I feel satisfied after reading this and not in need of wanting to click a button to the next chapter. (It is a compliment, of course, I would happily read another chapter if there was one!) Lovely, thank you for sharing, I am glad it kept your mind hostage! D |
Ermilus chapter 1 . 11/10/2013 I love it |
Lans13 chapter 1 . 10/31/2013 I enjoyed reading it it was so good that the letters just disappeared and I felt like I was watching a story! Great work! |
Trunksmybaby chapter 1 . 10/18/2013 aww that's so sweet |
NinjaWhisper chapter 1 . 10/15/2013 Very believable dialogue. |
FireStorm1991 chapter 1 . 10/13/2013 Aw, that was so sweet :) Romance in never a bad thing, especially between those two (seriously, perfect anime couple XD). Anyways, I enjoyed it. Idk if you'll make it a habit to write fluffy BXV stuff, but I have to admit you have a knack for it :3 |
saigwgr chapter 1 . 10/13/2013 This was great...though in reality, bulma already knows well that vegeta loves her and their son right from the android and cell saga...in my opinion, she already knows that vegeta shows his feelings via actions more than through words, hence she never asks this question outright to vegeta, vegeta himself came around and loved his family after cell was defeated, why else would he sacrifice himself to go to hell for all eternity, why would he need babidi's spell to force his feelings out...but if bulma asked the question, just in case, then this fanfiction may be the answer as to what would have happened later on... |
