It's been a while, hasn't it? Yes, I am still alive, and I owe you all an explanation for the grotesquely long, and still lengthening, wait. Here it is: THE PAST ELEVEN MONTHS HAVE NOT BEEN FUN! Here is a short list (not necessarily chronological) of what I've been going through this year:

The chaos of changing majors

Car accident

Physical therapy

The deaths of three family membersof the great-uncle and second-cousin variety

A month-long bout with viral pneumonia, during which my body temp averaged 103.5, with occasional spikes over 105.5

Finally recovering and getting back into the swing of things.

STORY RELATED NEWS

For almost all of the spring semester, I carried around a little notebook, in which I wrote down my outline for Chapter 9 any time I had an idea. At present, that outline is approximately 85 to 90 percent complete. The actual text for Chapter 9 covers 75 percent of the existing outline. Production halted for a couple of months due to some of the personal problems listed above, but I've taken up the pen again. I am still working on it, and I promise I will continue to work on it. I won't bother to make any completion estimates (most of you know how bad I am at those), but like I said, I'm working on it. Oh, and the current length of the chapter is 21 pages.
