RebeccaSeverusSnape chapter 9 . 8/27/2010 I really like this story and it's a shame that it hasn't been updated in 5 years. I do hope that you continue it, I love the bits of humor; For Harry, it was the great beginning of his first birthday party, for Tonks it was embarrassing. She had been victim to both the inverting charm and a bludgeoning curse Harry had managed to fire off even before the yell had finished. Laughter was the only response to Harry's reaction, except from Tonks that is, but no one was as loud as Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody, whose guffaw would be remembered by all those present well into the school year. "Constant Vigilance!" he had called out, "Very good boy. Tonks! Improvement is necessary!" I loved this bit so much :) I hope that you continue this story. |
Twistedmind365 chapter 9 . 3/20/2010 Please continue this story! I was kind of pissed off at the HBP movie because of the absolute reeking of Harry/Ginny. I am sorry if you support this pairing, but Ginny looks like his mom. That is really just kind of sick, and the love for her may not even be true because his subconious misses his mother, so he romantically attatches himself to the one who is the most like her, A.K.A: Ginny. And then there is the whole rabid-fangirl-on-crack thing. Harmony is such a better pairing. I am BEGING YOU, PLEASE resume this story! You actually have enough sense to derive from canon! Come on, just come back to the damn story. Don't leavve us... *sobs* TM365 |
Christi chapter 2 . 2/22/2007 You're doing alright so far. However, there are a couple of details that are off (a beta might help to catch these in the future): You had Harry pay the equivalent to about $8.50 for a cup of coffee! Being an American, living in one of the most expensive areas of the country, even I would never pay that much for a cup of coffee (not even at a theme park or movie theater, where they hold you hostage to your food cravings)! I think you might have simply put the sign for pounds sterling in for the dollar sign without realizing. Or maybe you thought the exchange rate wouldn't matter? It does, though. The British pound is worth about one and a half to two times the American dollar. You did great research on other things in this chapter, continue that! Try using an online converter in the future. Also, you had Harry walk out of a retail clothing store wearing regular sunglasses. How can he see? He wears glasses, so they would have to be prescription sunglasses, or he would have had to have gotten contacts. Perhaps you forgot to mention him visiting an eye care store or something? (Okay, this next bit is entirely my opinion. Take it or leave it: I personally think it's silly when an author has Harry go on a big shopping spree and doesn't replace his old, ratty glasses somehow - especially when there's a "fashion expert" helping him. I'm surprised J.K. Rowling hasn't fixed the poor child's ten-year-old prescription eyesores!) |
connor chapter 9 . 6/3/2006 eh... harrys pretty weak in this one... an hes kinda babyish but other then him being pretty weak the story sounds nice |
connor chapter 4 . 6/2/2006 LOL, what the hell? “A heavy overdose of a powerful sleeping potion is used. It is a painless way to be killed Harry. Remember, these men would do anything in their power to return to their master and their evil ways. I’m afraid that the only way to prevent them from doing so is by taking their lives.” Harry nodded in acceptance, his face still ashen. lol well shit this is a 1st for me its alwaysthe other way around harry doesnt mind as much as to dumbldore seems intresting so far though |
Manatheron chapter 9 . 2/7/2006 Tell you what, I'm willing to ignor the blatent self promotion, and Probably even read the short stories (I prefer long ones) if your willing to update, it's been over half a year since your last update you know. |
Bobmin356 chapter 9 . 12/16/2005 Good story. Pity its been abandoned. :( |
Anthony Corral chapter 7 . 11/12/2005 I love this story, but my repect for it has now deminished somewhat becuase of this excerpt: "and Harry, like every other man in the world, found that one does not argue with a woman once she has decided what you are going to wear." Far too sexist, demeaning, and totally insulting to the likes of men. I'm sorry, but this is not something I could overlook. |
Anthony Corral chapter 1 . 11/12/2005 I loved this first chapter. It did well to bring Harry and Dumbledore from the clouds of glory into the relm of Humanity. Makes them seem more real. Adds a Human dimension to the story. Great work, absolutley great! |
Innoxious chapter 9 . 11/2/2005 i personally think that people wouldnt be as.. candid or blunt when they talk about everything. Overall it has been a great story! write more! |
washedout chapter 9 . 10/28/2005 Interesting.. |
GreyAB chapter 6 . 8/14/2005 Im glad that Dumbledore managed to get Harry to tell someone, and I am very happy to see that Hermione didnt judge, but sttod by him. |
GreyAB chapter 9 . 8/8/2005 great story, and I have enjoyed reading it. Is it me or Harry and Hermione being a little slow to see how they feel about each other lol :) oh well they will learn I have no doubt. It will be interesting to see what the results are of Harry's trip to the quiddich shop are though, as I suspect that will be fun. I can see DADA & DA working well together, one teaches defence, the other offence. Nice the way you have that setup, and those two make great DA teachers. Update soon. |
AddictedFreak chapter 5 . 8/1/2005 Pretty good story. The only thing I didn't like was how you portrayed Harry. As soon as a pretty girl teased him he turns into a embarrassed, blushing, loser. I know that because of his child hood he would probably be like that, but I just don't like it when Harry has absolutely no self confidence. He's a hero, it doesn't matter if he likes it or not, so he needs to start acting like one. Cheers. |
Treck chapter 9 . 7/10/2005 Welcome back. |
