![]() Author has written 5 stories for Naruto, Silent Hill, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Bio: Like all frat boys in college I got nothing better to do than rewrite a fanfiction story and come back to this site. I plan on writing two to three books in the future got the ideas, characters, and drafts written up but those are still in progress. I will try and update all my stories so you fine beautiful folks will stay interested. Also besides spending my time exploring nature, working out, hunting, reading, playing with my two cute dogs, and going to see concerts. I spend my time just working, helping people out, and just making sure I see the most of this awesome planet. So if anyone wonders why I sometimes go off the grid I just would rather spend my time in the real world rather than on a device all day long. Concerning my Profile Name: My profile name the darthwizard came to being when I first started fanfiction. I thought, "What is the nerdiest, geekiest, and most cringe inducing name I could think of." So after that the Darthwizard was born. Based off of Star Wars and the Hobbit. Movies that I loved as a kid including my favorite children's book before I discovered Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Instead of making a cool name why not create something stupid and force people to say, "the DarthWizards stories are so awesome. I wanna be a stupid frat boy in college writing fanfiction too." Concerning my profile pictures: The first profile picture I had was the angry chicken from Family Guy Starwars (I was such an idiot back then). Every month I will change my profile picture cause I think the same picture gets pretty boring. I took photography in High School and became pretty good at taking pictures. So be prepared for a new picture in my endless photo library of awesomeness. Best Artists/ Best Bands: Grateful Dead, David Bowie, Queen, Everlast, Porcupine Tree, Ennio Morricone (most badass orchestra music), The Black Angels, Gary Clarks Jr., Genesis, Dire Straits, 13 Floor Elevators, Led Zeppelin, Blue Oyster Cult, Dead & Company, Marty Robbins, John Denver, The Doors, Gipsy Kings, Hans Zimmer, The Jimi Hendrex Experience, John Williams, Johnny Thunders, Kanye West, Tyler the Creator, Kamasi Washington, King Crimson, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizards, The Kinks, Metallica, Dolken, Mobb Deep, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Rush, Shine Down, Simon & Garfunkel, Slightly Stoopid, Violent Femmes, The Who, Syd Barret, Spirit Santana, Rare Earth, Pogo, Royal Wade Kimes, Foreigner, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Frank Sinatra, KISS, Disturbed, Camel, Jefferson Airplane, and HawkWind. Best Albums of All Time: Pink Floyd's Animals (1977)- Most Pink Floyd lovers would choose The Wall or The Dark Side of the Moon. Hell, true fans might even say albums with the legendary Syd Barret on it are the finest. Rest the man's soul I still love Piper at the Gates of Dawn, which I recommend a listen it changed music more than any album in history. Animals is great after all due to the heart wrenching solo's by legendary David Gilmour in the songs Dogs or Sheep. The album is worth many listens when you find out it literally is an allegory to the book Animal Farm by George Orwell. The animals featured on the album are only the pigs, dogs, and the sheep from the book. I will say though that this album is very emotional to me and I may not be the only one to admit its Pink Floyd at their height. Here's a link to a video and PM me if you like or hate it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-a2rCmrViY Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus (1970) by Spirit- This album is wonderful from the beginning until the end. You can listen to this album sober, drunk, high, or whatever and you'd still end up grooving to it. Songs like Space Child and Mr. Skin are songs that just bring me closer to the universe with their amazing lyrics, sound design, expert use of synthesizer, and just well everything. One of my friends once told me that this album is most likely the most underrated album in history and I whole heartily agree with him. Listen to this album from beginning to end and you won't be disappointed. Monthly Book Review This is something I'm going to do every month because it'll help me stay focused on fanfiction. So I'll be reading a book I've never read before and I'll post the review of that book on my profile. The Disaster Artist by Greg Sestero The Room is often one of Hollywood's biggest mysteries over how bad it truly is. Having been written, directed, and starred by Tommy Wiseau who filmed and produced it with a six million dollar budget. Greg Sestero who is Tommy's best friend shines a light onto how everything came to be. This auto-biography follows Greg Sestero and his life long goal of becoming an actor. The book is full of laugh out loud scenes, exceptional detail, touching moments, and many themes that will make the reader read it from the beginning till the end. Now I got into this book because of how much of a fan I am of The Room (Even though I've never watched the movie) and how much people slam the tag worst movie ever made onto it. The book has two stories to it, one of which is about Sestero's childhood and his adventures with Tommy Wiseau, and the other story is about them both making The Room. Both of these stories alternate every other chapter. Hell, I'll admit that both stories are interesting enough that the reader will digest every word on every line. The themes of this book are heartwarming and they will keep the reader thinking afterwards. The most striking theme of the book is that you shouldn't give up on your dream even if the whole world is against you. A great example of this is Wiseau's dream of making the greatest movie on Earth. And this book I assure you will prove that he did just that. Seven Years In TIbet by Heinrich Harrer Seven Years In Tibet is a must read book for all people. There review over... Okay let me explain. Heinrich Harrer's personal autobiography details many amazing things in world history that not only did he witness but he also took part in. If there ever could be a modern day Marco Polo, Harrer would not only fit that bill but maybe even exceed it with some of the most enchanting real life story telling any reader could ever intake. Harrer was a german mountain climber and enthusiast who ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time when WW2 started. The book details his amazing escape from Raj India's prison camps, and culminates with Harrer being one of the first Europeans to ever explore Tibet, learn the culture, customs, the history, and the religion of the mysterious hidden kingdom. Now I don't want to say to much and give away all of his amazing adventures, some funny, some horrific, but I can honestly say when I put the book down I gained an insight into a people I never once really thought too much about. The book has been praised by The Dalai Lama who Harrer met when the Dalai Lama was still a young boy. Harrer would later be one of the first vocal critics of China's Occupation of Tibet in 1949. This book is both historically groundbreaking and also exciting with all the adventures one can partake in when one only wants freedom. Fortune Favors the Bold: I'm planning on posting two more chapters during the month of June and I hope to get chapter 6 before the end of the month. One thing that will really help would be more reviews or responses from the chapters I post. The reason why I'd like to get reviews isn't for attention but more to know if the chapter I wrote was something people actually enjoyed reading. However the amount of views I'm getting on every new chapter is quite a lot so don't worry about me abandoning this story. I have a game plan on where this story is going to go so don't worry about it people. I want to one day look back and just enjoy the fact I wrote over 20 chapters. This story is that dream and no matter how much hate, love, or doubts I will have. I plan on writing the hell out of this story. Writing is the one thing that keeps me calm after a hard day of school, a hard day at work, and a hard day of constant bad luck. Now onto the story itself. I plan on posting facts about the mythology I will discuss and the history of our world I plan on bringing into this story. Concerning Alexander the Great's campaigns the most accurate primary source concerning his conquests comes from the Anabasis Alexandri by Arrian of Nicomedia. I've taken the great load of reading the manuscript nicely translated from project Gutenberg http:///files/46976/46976-h/46976-h.htm#Page_8 After translating the Commentarii De Bello Gallico (by hand many years ago, still have my translations), which translates to Commentaries On The Gallic Wars by Julius Caesar. I'm so lucky people have actually translated the Anabasis Alexandri, which is an amazing primary source for me for free. You learn more from the works of people from thousands of years ago than in most schools. When you read Julius Caesars books on the Gallic Wars the first thing I found to be shocking was his use of capturing the reader into falling for Julius Caesar. Now I'm not saying I'm in love with the guy. All I'm really saying is that Julius Caesar was the king of propaganda from 58 B.C- 44 B.C and his books are so expertly written you can't help but root for Julius Caesar even though he likely killed roughly 500,000 Celts during his conquest of Gaul alone, which at the time had a population of about 2 million people. What I'm getting is that ancient texts are amazing to read but are filled with propaganda. For instance when Caesar battled against the Nervii he literally rode into battle on a white horse and single handily won the battle by protecting his legions baggage train. Stuff like that you can't make up. So I'll be doing more research for this story than just primary sources, however Historia Civilis on Youtube and several other history youtubers like Kings and Generals will be the main sources of my research for this story. Books I've used for research: A Fare Wind for Troy, The Iliad, The Odyssey, The Anabasis Alexandri -by Arrian, All the Percy Jackson Books (reread them all for this ambitious project), Starship Troopers, and many ancient texts/primary sources of battles and ancient warfare. The link below is one of my favorite channels on youtube. Historia Civilis talks about the history, customs, culture, religion, latin, and Greek of the ancient world. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCv_vLHiWVBh_FR9vbeuiY-A The video below is my other favorite channel on youtube. Kings and Generals talks about many historical battles, events, and great strategic leaders like King Pyrrhus, Boudica, Alexander the Great, and other historical figures. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMmaBzfCCwZ2KqaBJjkj0fw/videos The video below is about Alexander the Great's childhood and how he was a real life demigod or was he? To those reading my profile, Alexander the Great will play a major role in many chapter yet to come. Watch the video below and learn a bit of the upbringing of one of the greatest generals in history. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkgAbspQ4f0 The video below is about Alexander the Great's Tomb and it will be a major plot point later on in FFTB: Part 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V9CXcH07Ic Part 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOg_OoNkCJc The video below is about the myth of Eos and Tithonus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIh49FOU6-Q FFTB chapter 8- I've been on hiatus long enough that I plan to write chapters 8 and 9 soon been busy with many other things and I've been going through writers block after my failed attempt at a new story. The Depths of Insanity I've put a ton of thought and creativity into this story and here you are reading more. Compared to my other stories I will say this one contains maybe my favorite plot, character development, and is the best written story I've published. This story hasn't yet reached 1,000 views and I will be surprised if it does. If you have read and enjoyed this story I will say you have excellent taste in my book. This story was in big part inspired by Babylon Berlin. Being a Writer Writing is tough. There's no simple way to explain how tough it is until you sit down and start writing. In this day and age people assume the EGO to be something that needs to be destroyed. In a way there is some truth to that. After-all the ego brings about pride, which even if you aren't religious there's a reason why every religion, cult, and psychonaught on Earth considers pride to not only a sin, but the catalyst to ones destruction. A prideful man will never admit his faults even if he's living a nightmare. However, if you want to be a good creator you must have a humongous ego. It allows the artist to continue writing, and to keep fighting despite their adversity. |
