About Beryl

Well, I am a person of few words, but I will try to describe little old me. I have a terrible little imp creature named Writer’s Block that constantly pokes my brain with a pitchfork until it is reduced to a steaming pile of mincemeat. If I start a story and that imp comes along, it will take a while to fight it off. Another thing I hate is when I start a story and halfway through, I realize how stupid it is and discontinue it. It is either that, or I choose to stop a story because I’m no longer passionate for it. A story’s discontinuation is never due to not having enough feedback or reviews. I’m not that unmotivated.

Anyway, when I watch anime, I either have one of two reactions: “What the fuck just happened?” or “Oh, that was pretty cool!” I have been watching anime since I was a wee tot. No lie. I practically grew up watching the weirdness that is anime. The thing that I enjoy about is that not even normal lives are portrayed normally in it! For example, there is always the character who loves to throw random items at people when he/she is angry. Who survives being hit by wooden desks? Who even has the strength to launch someone so high in the air? That’s one rule of anime:

Even normal life is abnormal.

Now, I’m not saying anime is not capable of portraying a regular setting, which is why I wish my life was “anime-fied” from time to time. As for my real life, I’m a college student, going to school for Media Arts and Animation. The most interesting things I did so far is draw naked people (O0O), and make a sculpture of my character. I have no such luck that involves making things with my hands, but I will manage.

Like other human beings in this world, I am flawed. I don’t make mistakes in terms of spelling, but I will, sometimes, leave an entire word out of a sentence. I try carefully to avoid this, however, during my editing process, my eyes will completely skip over a glaringly huge mistake. Due to my workload in college, I probably will have an erratic updating schedule. Not that I had any sort of order to begin with.
