Lets see, what to say about myself.

Well, I am an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy, as well as a watcher of movies, episodic shows, and Anime.

I am also a old gamer. I started out in the 70's with games like chess and risk. I then moved into traditional war games. Everything from Star Soldier to Air War: Modern Tactical Combat. Finally I also got into role playing games.

Through the late 70's, 80's and 90's I played a lot of different RPG's (Pen and Paper mostly). It was during this time that what writing I did was only in terms of creating characters for the games that I ran and that I played in. Over the years I have considered writing complete stories where I controlled all of the characters but this is the first time that I have decided to take a serious stab at it. Before this my writing was confined to what was needed for the purpose of running a game for others, or writing computer code to handle little tasks here and there, like storing and updating character sheets for an online chat based game.

Over the years I have always had little stories running though my head, but one thing I noticed in the few times that I did try and write things down, I wasn't as easy going on my characters as i was when I was playing them out in my head. But they didn't have a good flow to them either. I am hoping that I can manage to write something that I will thoroughly enjoy and that others will enjoy it as well. But I know its going to take a lot of work to get it right.

Well thats a little bit about myself. I hope to make some friends in here and swap some stories.
