I'm just someone who likes writing and wants practice.

On: Reviews

I value all reviews and love reading them. I especially appreciate constructive criticism, as they help to improve my writing. I will not beg for reviews.

On: Writing (FanFiction)

My family does not know that I write fanfiction. (At least, I don't think they do - I can't remember how much I've told them.) I prefer it this way, since it's just easier overall. Avoids dealing with embarrassment.

On this note, I do have a friend who knows my username. If you're reading this - hi!

On: Writing (In General)

I've heard people complain that their writing is bad and they ask how to get better. My opinion on this is to practice - obviously - and also to read. Bear with me here.

Most people say reading is important because it improves one's vocabulary - and it does, I'm not denying that - but I also believe that it does two much more important things.

1) Reading teaches you how to set up sentences. Especially if you've been reading since a young age, the knowledge just kinda soaks in. For example, remember all those grammar tests in school? I do. *grumbles* Anyway. The people who did the best on those tests were usually the ones who always had a book with them. Just don't ask them to explain the specific rules of why something is wrong.

2) Reading makes one learn how to figure things out on one's own. Connotation, denotation, reasoning - all of these things become ingrained without specific instruction.

On: My Stories

Everything that is marked as 'Complete' is complete. I'm pretty good about marking their status. On that note...

Soldiers of the Dead: I'll finish it...eventually. I've been very busy lately. I also actually had an idea for 'D' and started writing it, but then it just kept going...and going...and going. Which I don't mind - much. I tend to be a bit 'trigger-happy', as it were, in regards to posting stories. Slowing down a bit is one of the things that I need to work on.

On: Translations

For any French readers out there, the author yashiro-san is translating my Harry Potter x Bleach series. Year One is complete, and Year Two is in progress.
