He promised they would see each other again. So when Steve is injured, Mary Ann immediately rushes back to Hawaii. She intends to hold him to his promise. So do Danny and Grace and pretty much everyone else.

This story takes place after Steve falls and will basically deal with what happens afterward. The case of the dead man will be addressed, but is inconsequential to the fic which is very H/C with Danny and steve caught in a storm.

The words 'back up' aren't even in his dictionary!

Danny Williams is a city cop, not a forest-or-jungle-or-whatever cop. This becomes obvious when Five-0 pursues a cop killer in the jungle and in the city. Rated T for violence and language, but nothing out of line with the show.
