Author has written 18 stories for Hunger Games, South Park, Dragon Ball Z, Green Mile, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Finding Nemo, Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, and Avatar: Last Airbender. I'm redoing this because I don't like the way my last profile was set up ~ Hey, I'm Kaia. It's pronounced KIY-uh if it means anything to you, but if you don't care then that's fine. This isn't all that unusual for this site, but I'm a young writer and a huge yaoi fangirl. I will do a very small amount of het and yuri, but there are one or two couples in that category that I like. And if you're a yaoi-hater at heart, don't fret. I do not overuse the word "Kawaii!" or attack people just because they don't want to watch guys do it in bed all day. I'm very uninteresting: I want to become a writer but if I cannot manage to achieve that goal I will study marine biology or psychology. I'm also very interested in foreign languages; I am studying French but would like to study Japanese, Arabic and Russian. For those of you who read my stories, thank you. For those of you who review my stories, even if you don't like it, thank you twice as much. I get all excited even when I see one more review, because I know that it's another step in to approving my writing. Also, I love all kinds of music: rock, screemo, rap, pop, techno. Basically anything but that shit country music : My fandoms: Dragon Ball Z, The Hunger Games, SpongeBob Squarepants (so mature, I know), The Regular Show, Family Guy, South Park, Adventure Time, iCarly, Pokemon (the old series, not the new one), Avatar: The Last Airbender, list will probably get longer... Note: I do not like Twilight. As a matter of fact, I loathe it more than anything else I've ever read. But there are still a few characters I can't disattach myself to *coughjacobcough* and some couples I love *cougharoxcarlislecough* Favorite characters: Vegeta (Dragon Ball Z), Piccolo (Dragon Ball Z), Bulma (Dragon Ball Z), Haymitch (The Hunger Games), Gale (The Hunger Games), Patrick (SpongeBob), Mordecai (The Regular Show), Benson (The Regular Show), Brian (Family Guy), Stewie (Family Guy), Cartman (South Park), Stan (South Park), Kenny (South Park), Finn (Adventure Time), Sam (iCarly), Spencer (iCarly), Gibby (iCarly), Gary (Pokemon), Zuko (Avatar)... Least favorite characters: Chichi (Dragon Ball Z), Peeta (The Hunger Games), Katniss (The Hunger Games), Prim (The Hunger Games), Sandy (SpongeBob), Muscle Man (The Regular Show), Kyle (South Park), Mrs. Benson (iCarly), Misty (Pokemon)* Yes, I am aware of the fact that I am going to get mauled when people see that I hate these two. Misty I cannot stand because she is such an annoying bitch, especially to Ash and to certain Pokemon *coughcaterpiecough, and I have absolutely no idea why some dumbasses would want her back in the series, and if you are a Pokeshipping fan, then how dare you call yourself an Ash-lover, because Ash really deserves someone better than that bitch. As of Kyle...well, I do not hate him like I hate Misty, but it just annoys me how so many people think he is the best character in the series when in reality, he does nothing but sit there and get ripped on by Cartman. I think "dislike" is a better word. Chichi...maybe I'll get yelled at for hating her. Maybe. But I know there are a much larger amount of Chichi-haters out there than devout Chichi-lovers. I'm sorry, people, but Chichi is an annoying bitch. She's not like Bulma where the bitchiness is loveable, but rather, it's to the point where I want to break her fucking nose. End of that rant... Couples I Love: GokuxVegeta (Dragon Ball Z), VegetaxPiccolo (Dragon Ball Z), GohanxPiccolo (Dragon Ball Z), TrunksxGoten (Dragon Ball Z), HaymitchxPeeta (The Hunger Games), HaymitchxKatniss (The Hunger Games), KatnissxGale (The Hunger Games), SpongeBobxPatrick (SpongeBob), SpongeBobxSquidward (SpongeBob), MordecaixRigby (The Regular Show), CartmanxKyle (South Park), CartmanxKenny (South Park), CartmanxButters (South Park), PipxDamien (South Park), SamxFreddy (iCarly), SamxCarly (iCarly), Palletshipping {AshxGary} (Pokemon), AangxZuko (Avatar), KataraxZuko (Avatar), SokkaxSuki (Avatar)... Note on couples I love: For those of you who hate non-canon couples, I just wanted to let you know that most of the couples that I believe actually have a chance of happening are ones I hate. Why? Non-canon couples are the more interesting ones. Just because I pair Peeta and Haymitch together doesn't mean I actually think it'll happen - it just means I like the idea of it. Most goody-good canon couples are as boring as hell, I'll give you that. But non-canon couples rock my socks. :) I'm not a very good writer in spite of what many might say. The most important thing about being a writer is that you actually come up with a good idea and finish it. I hardly ever finish most of what I come up with, and each and every single multichapter story I've ever written ends up unfinished. But I can give you some tips on what people are looking for in fanfiction. 1. Good Grammar - Just because you use good grammar, it doesn't make you a good writer. But it makes your writing very acceptable in the looks section, and puts you above a lot of the writers on this website. I'm not going to read something that says "so spongebob n patrick went 2 da busstop 2 go n..." I really don't understand what some people find so hard about using good grammar. It's all around you, you see it and read it all the time. Listen, I don't care what you write like when you're texting your friends, but when you're writing a story and calling yourself an "author", you might as well show some respect to your readers and your stories by using good grammar. 2. Good Characterization - I'm not coming here to read about an overly-feminine Vegeta or an overly-sensitive Cartman. Sure, you can make changes. But don't make changes to the point where it makes your character seem very unrealistic, almost as if it's not the character at all. This is hard, I know. But I guarantee making your story the way you want it and still managing to keep the characters the same will manage to earn you a great deal of respect from other writers. (Or from your readers, anyway.) 3. Original Plot/Storyline - I have seen a million stories where the plots are "And all of a sudden he realized his feelings but he didn't know how to express them..." ORIGINAL PLOTLINES, PEOPLE! Put a little twist in what you write. Try to do something nobody has ever done before, or something that does not have so simple a plot it's uninteresting. And the list for this will probably get longer... Ordinarily I do not accept requests unless I feel up to them - if I have nothing to do and if I receive the same request over and over and over again, I mean, or if I find it interesting. I shall update every now and then. Also keep in mind that I don't post multichapter stories - I have done so before and haven't finished any of them, so that's why not. If I do post multichapter stories, it's either a short two-shot or three-shot or if I am more than halfway done with it. Thanks for reading! ~Kaia Cancer: .•´¸•´¨) ¸.•¨)¸.•´¸.•´¨) ¸.•¨) |
