There isn't much to say about Ms. Evelyn Downs. She's a quiet, average sort of girl, who spends her days with her cats, her books and her music. She has long enjoyed simply staring out into the world, trying to find the extraordinary nature of ordinary things--something which has quite unleashed her imagination. Like all quiet, average girls, Ms. Downs spent her childhood searching for adventure, magic--something to breathe life into her daydreams. Unfortunately, she has reached the era in life when one is forced to a simple, devastating realization: the waking world is a constrained to the imaginations of the people in it, which happen to often be less than extraordinary, and in fact rather complacent. And so, she did what any avid reader would do: she turned to the realm of fiction. Ms. Downs is now living out her days with frequent excursions to other, far off places, where she has discovered the wonder of vicarious adventure through her characters.

When reading the work of Ms. Downs, it is important to realize one thing: she writes only what she would love to read, and she reads what she wishes to experience. Therefore, rest assured that her fictions, while still in the realm of the believable, will also remain somewhat pure, relatively unambiguous, and firmly idealistic. After all, what quiet, average sort of girl doesn't dream of a happy ending?
