After working on the twelfth chapter of 'Shattered' for literally months, I've finally posted it. It's rough; I don't know what it is about that story that makes it hard for me to write, not plot-wise or anything like that, but just... in general, stringing words together and describing things. If you look at my Naruto one-shot Hollow or even the first chapter for my Final Fantasy X fanfiction The Necromancer, the writing is just so, so different; yet no matter what I do, Shattered just doesn't turn out that way. I dunno. This is why I say I need to sit down and revise it, but for now I'm just getting the story out of my system and following my plan. xD

I'm going to be updating The Necromancer soon; I should have been working on it while I was stuck on Shattered, but I always feel guilty when I do that and so instead of making just one fandom suffer (that was going to suffer ANYWAY) I make both suffer. Yes, I realize I make no sense. The good news is, I have been on a writing binge lately - even if I was writing crap, I was still writing something. So, an update for my FFX story is in the works, though I don't think it will be as long as the one for Shattered was just now. Seriously, that killed me.

And while some people are going to want to shoot me for this, I'm also planning on writing a fanfiction for the Vampire Knight fandom. Why? Because I can't get this series out of my head. I've been obsessed with it for over a year now, but recently I rekindled my love for the manga and the characters haunt my mind so much that I've started dreaming about them. ...I don't recall ever dreaming about fictional characters, least of all ones that are just drawings. Dx

I'm a twenty year old Canadian girl who lives in a small town - and no, I won't tell you which one, you creepy stalker you ^.~ Anywho, my real name is Jessica. This is not my first account on fanfiction.net, but I wanted to start fresh without having to take down my old work that I know some people still enjoy.

I've wanted to be a writer since before I even knew how to read. Probably because at that point, the only book I could enjoy were those books with only pictures that you had to make up your own story for. And, to this day, I still love writing with all of my heart. I also enjoy reading, probably a little too much (big shocker there), and playing video games, watching movies, listening to music... you get the idea.

* I'm obsessed with the Final Fantasy games, and I've played (and beaten) every Final Fantasy game up to FFXII. My favourite USED to be FFVIII, but it's finally been replaced by FFX. I also love IX, VII and XII.
* I love pitbulls. My childhood dog, Zeus, was a pitbull terrier and he was the greatest pet I've ever had. I'm thoroughly disgusted that my province has banned them, since I can never get another one.
* I'm watching Naruto Part I and Part II simultaneously; I'm up to episode 113 on Part I, and just starting season 9 for Part II. I've read every spoiler I can get my hands on, so no worries about saying anything. In fact, I encourage spoilers ;D
* For those looking at my favourite bands, no, I'm not Christian. Technically I was baptised a Lutheran, but I don't really go to Church much, so... yeah. I just like those bands a lot.
* I hate coffee. Seriously. It smells good and all, but blech. I'm a tea drinker ;D I also don't drink pop (...anymore) since it gives me a stomach ache.
* On a similar note, I hate donuts. And parmesan cheese. Yeah. That's right. You just read that. In my defense, they make me feel sick too.
* My favourite season is winter. I only complain about the temperature if my hands get cold, since that makes it harder to type. Otherwise, I love it 8D
* I'm a band geek. Or, I guess, an ex-band geek, since I played the flute in highschool but have since graduated *sobs*
* I am deathly afraid of clowns. I wish I could say it was for a cool reason, like the Stephen King movie/book IT, but it's actually because of the Simpsons. (..."Can't sleep, clown'll eat me." I WAS FIVE!)
* I'm also afraid of heights, but it has recently been brought to my attention by Sheldon ("The Big Bang Theory") that a more reasonable fear would be of FALLING, not heights. This is true.
* And lately, I've developed a bit of "white coat syndrome" as well as a fear of getting sick (though the last one I blame on my last case of the stomach flu: it happened when I was under a lot of stress/anxiety, and speaking as someone who was sick 75 percent of my childhood, it was the worst I've ever ever felt.)
* I prefer stories where the main pairing progresses at a slow burn; it's the cute, little fluffy things that make me go "aw!" My own stories will definitely reflect this.

Hollow

A simple one-shot, mostly Sakura/Sasuke-centric and inspired by the song "Shattered" by Trading Yesterday. It takes place some time after the "end" of the manga, which of course we haven't seen yet, and it's in Sakura's perspective. It's my attempt at showing how things might be if/once Sasuke has come back home. I didn't want to write a story like that until I'd actually finished the anime and manga myself, but I felt safe doing a one-shot, and I just really, really wanted to write about this. I think it turned out alright in the end. Below are the lyrics that made me think of what to write for this one-shot.

Shattered

Summary: Sakura Haruno has finally been accepted to the most elite private school in the country, Konoha Academy. On the outside, it appears to be a normal school - and to most of the students enrolled, that's exactly what it is. But Sakura will soon discover that there is more to the school than what meets the eye, and she may be one of the few students with the power to save it.

Random Trivia
1. Was named after the song "Shattered" by Trading Yesterday. Doesn't necessarily mean anything, though if that changes I'll put it here.

2. This is my first multi-chaptered Naruto fic ever, and I started it before I got very far into the anime/manga. That's why it's AU.

3. Although the idea came to me while watching "Jonah Hex" (don't ask why, I don't know either) the whole 'secret organization of students who can do magic' reminds me of a manga I enjoyed that was discontinued: Saint Marie. It's very little like the manga apart from that, but there you go.

4. Sakura's dorm room number (204) was actually my music class's room number in highschool.

While I discovered the video after writing this story, it is exactly why "Shattered" makes me think of Sasuke and Sakura. Honestly, you should not read my story without having watched that video AT LEAST ONCE!

The Necromancer

Summary: More than a thousand years ago, the necromancer Yunalesca was sealed away for summoning the souls of the dead into empty living vessels and for murdering the leader of Spira, Yu Yevon. Random Trivia:

1. Inspired loosely by the original game, the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini (which I'm currently re-reading), and the Abhorsen Trilogy by Garth Nix (which revolves around necromancy).

2. The story initially opened up with the Zanarkand/Tidus' Introduction scene, but I decided it fit better at the end since it's more Yuna's story than Tidus' even though I plan to show a few perspectives throughout the story.

3. I was picturing the parade from Final Fantasy VIII when I wrote the little description about the Odin Festival.
