Hi. This story was the first of yours that I read but I took my time in getting to the review because it had a great effect on me and I wanted to write a review that would be able to adequately express it. This story has become one of my all-time favorites of the pairing. It really looks at what the dynamics are with Casey and Derek and it paints a realistic picture of how they could change overtime. Additionally, the war reporting gig was a brilliant way that would keep them together long enough so that their relationship could grow and they could become closer. Great story and I truly hope you write more stories like this one.

I just saw your update and felt like it was my birthday come early!
I absolutely loved the marriage proposal and the debate it followed. Brilliant arguments! Made me think a lot about my own dealings with feminist ideology.
I have just one little complaint. I know the story is more about companionship, of a deeper, more epic sort of romance, yet I could not help but think that after years of the two toeing around each other, there'd be more. Derek did say to Nora that little has changed between the two as on some level they were already 'together' but the lukewarm end does sort of dilutes the entire premise of why they hesitated for so long. That there were a few things where change would occur which they will have to battle out/accept. On that level (minus the epic proposal), I felt the end was a bit anti-climatic to such a vast world created by you.
But nonetheless, reading you were hours productively and awesome-ly spent. I would keep refreshing for any new work of yours. Thanks!
