DEAR READERS

To my readers, fellow writers, and everyone in between, I am officially rendering this account INACTIVE.

I have tried to revive my account several times in the past, and was thus far, unable to. I have no inspiration in the Fan Fiction community aside from K-Pop fan fictions, which I am uploading to under the username starlitskies. You are more than welcome to come find me there if you are into K-Pop.

Someday, maybe if I find inspiration to upload general Fan Fictions again, I will return to this place and begin uploading once more. Until then, this is SilverEyeShinobi, logging out for good. I will leave my stories active and uploaded for anyone who wishes to read them.

Who I am as a Writer

As a writer, I try to come up with unique ideas that people would enjoy reading about. To me, it's not about the review counts. As long as people enjoy reading my stories, I'm happy.

Where My Ideas Come From

Most of the time, my ideas come from the world around me. I write about something I care about, something I saw on TV that impacted me, something really neat that happened in a video game... that sort of thing. Once I get the idea and if I suddenly find myself overwhelmed with the amount of detail I can create, I start writing a story about it. If the story gets past the first few chapters, and I find that it's still working, I'll just keep going.

AU Fan Fictions

I personally like writing AU. They're good when I can't think of anything to do with canon. There are some categories I don't like to write AU's for, but if I can, I do, simply because of the freedom it gives me. Although I WILL write canon fictions if I can think of something.

Romance

I'll admit, romance isn't my forte. If I write a romance, I write a romance and I try to incorporate fluff and whatnot in it. However, in regular stories, I usually don't focus on the romance. I focus more on the plot and character development. If I ever write a romance, I don't write them constantly kissing and making out. I like building relationships, and making them work.

Character

I'm not worried about making characters OOC. There are times when I try to keep them in character, simply because I like the character, but there's only so much you can do with a canon character. So I like expanding my horizons and making the characters act differently simply for the challenge. It helps me enjoy writing a little bit more, and hopefully, the readers will enjoy it too.

I love writing character development. I like writing characters people can relate to. I never make a character perfect. There's always something negative that hangs on to the balance of the character so they're not perfect. I just don't like perfection. Because in real life, nothing is ever perfect. Well, truly perfect. There's always a balance, and there always will be.

Cliche

Simple: I hate cliche. It ticks me off. I won't use it.

Naturalism

Naturalism is the technique I use when I write stories. Most people use either Realism or Romantisism depending on their style. Realism is basically when you dirty up the world, and lay the darkness bare for everyone to see. There is no happiness in it whatsoever. This is what fanfiction classifies as a 'Dark' fic. Romantisism is when everything is perfect, fine and dandy, where everything works out happy in the end, tied with a bow.

Naturalism is the true realism. Naturalism is literally...naturalism. It's the real way the world works. Fact is, sometimes everything doesn't work out fine and dandy, but there are other things that do. Not everything ends in tragedy, but sometimes it does. I never make the world perfect, but nor do I make it a horrible, horrible place to be.

Values

My values influence my writing left right and center. No matter what, you will NEVER see a main character drink, smoke, or do drugs. Everything in my values SCREAMS against crap like that. Other things you will never see in my stories are main characters doing illegal things. Swearing is another thing. I'm not opposed to the occasional swear word where it may or may not be appropriate, like when one of the characters is scared out of their wits, or really angry. I will occasionally write a swear word, but most of the time I try to find another word I can use instead of the swear.

Views

My views on the world occasionally creep into my story. Most of them involve sayings and sometimes quotes that really inspired me. I'm really big on the view of "live life to it's fullest, because you'll only ever have one" so in most of my stories, that's exactly what the characters are going to be doing. Another kind of view I tend to use are opinions I gather from observing they way people act and then drawing my own conclusions on it.

1. Crack open your briefcase or handbag, peer inside and ask "Got enough air in there?"
2. Stand silent and motionless in the corner facing the wall without getting off.
3. When arriving at your floor, grunt and strain to yank the doors open, then act as if you're embarrassed when they open themselves.
4. Greet everyone with a warm handshake and ask him or her to call you Admiral.
5. Meow occasionally.
6. Stare at another passenger for a while. Then announce in horror: "You're one of THEM!" - and back away slowly.
7. Say "DING!" at each floor.
8. Say "I wonder what all these do?" and push all the red buttons.
9. Make explosion noises when anyone presses a button.
10. Stare grinning at another passenger for a while, then announce: "I have new socks on."
11. When the elevator is silent, look around and ask: "Is that your beeper?"
12. Try to make personal calls on the emergency phone.
13. Draw a little square on the floor with chalk and announce to the other passengers: "This is my personal space."
14. When there's only one other person in the elevator, tap them on the shoulder, then pretend it wasn't you.

31. When the doors close, announce to the others, "It's okay. Don't panic, they open up again."
32. Announce in a demonic voice: "I must find a more suitable host body."
