Skippyjon Jones (ditto the picture book thing), Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet. Expect this list to grow as I realize I've forgotten stuff. I feel that one books series needs individual mention, because it's so under-supported. The Chanter of Tremaris trilogy by Cate Constable. Amazing, beautifully written books.
