Author has written 6 stories for Naruto, Avatar, Resident Evil, Deadman Wonderland/デッドマン・ワンダーランド, and Harry Potter. Methinks, by most, 'twill be confess'd / That Death is never quite a welcome guest. ロ Mephistopheles (Faust) Death twitches my ear. “Live,” he says, “I am coming.” ロ Virgil Life is not lost by dying; life is lost minute by minute, day by dragging day, in all the thousand small uncaring ways. ロ Stephen Vincent Benét Update: September 2017 Wow. Last time I updated this was May 2011. How time flies. As I write this, the S.V.B. quote feels like its grown in significance. Six years... When I logged back on, it warmed my heart to see the inbox full of messages from those of you who have reached out to me over the years, to support or encourage me. Thank you. I can't promise that I'm back to stay. But I'd like to think that I've grown and matured over the course of these six years, so who knows. I am in a different place. Looking back on when I first started writing, I had no idea how much of a cry for help all my stories were. I was drowning in anger and I found my relief from that in characters dominated by their own rage and bitterness. Writing was a survival mechanism, rather than a hobby. The anger is still there, don't get me wrong. You will see no shortage of angry characters in my stories. I suspect that it will always be a part of me. But my relationship with it is different today. I hope that, moving forward, I can add a little more dimension and substance to the characters that we all love. I will be modifying Blindsight and Tyrant to bring them up to date with my new perspectives on life, the universe, and everything. Monsters exist. Suffering is real. But power and control are not the protections from these things that I once believed. I hope my treatment of these stories will reflect this. And reflect the hope for a better world that I'd like to think that I'm contributing to. God bless you all. Feel free to contact me (I'll work on improving the timeliness of my responses.) Methinks |
