Author has written 11 stories for Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Hunger Games. Hello folks of this wondrous site. I decided to update in celebration of not having much homework tonight (yay!) I don't really know what to call the state of my being on fanfiction other than unperdicatbly mysterious. I am neither actively writing, nor inactively. I do plan, however, to participate in NaNoWriMo in November, am I'm guessing by the time I get to December, I will want a break from my original work and have fun with fanfiction. Plus my own sister has requested a story for me for Christmas, so that will take up time. I want to make it great! Feel free to message me anytime, since I check my e-mail almost everyday and I will see your message. And I do have a question for those participating in NaNoWriMo; do you post you novel workings onto Fictionpress or simply lock it away into your documents like I plan to do? I, Flamingo917, have challenged myself! I'm proud to be a part of the HPFC forum. Attention Harry Potter Fans who enjoy spoofs of HP!Search A Very Potter Musical on Youtube. You will NOT be disappointed. Also check out the newly performed A Very Potter Sequel. If you have an ipod (proud zune owners like my best friend might be able to get them, put dont take my word for it) should check out the podcasts: SQPN: Secrets of Harry Potter, which is hosted by a priest who's opinion is great to listen to for the little things, like why things are the way the are and what they mean, and MuggleCast, a podcast associated with where they have debates such as if Ron and Hermione would have a happy marriage (hilarious, in #201), and new scoups only they get to experience. They're free and great to listen to! They're are also a bajillion of them, (over 200 of the Mugglecast) Attention Percy J fans! IT'S HERE!! Have you seen it yet?! Attention Maximum Ride fans! what happened to the series, anyway? The first three were brilliant... the rest are just disappointments. Projects~ Fred and George ~ In Our Hearts Forever. The Ultimate Game of Hide and Seek. The rest of my projects are the various oneshots that come through my mind. Requests and ideas for any story of mine are like Oreo cookies and a glass of (lactose free) milk to me- and I deeply love my oreos- so please, don't be afraid to PM me for anything. I'm pretty open to all things, so... you're good! Thanks to those who've done that already! Basics~ Well, for starters I'm 15 years old, a girl who's growing up in the amazing Midwest. I love writing because it's fun and after years of writing, I can't go without it. It hurts when I write and I can't get the words out correctly, but it hurts when I just keep it bunched up inside with everything else I hide from humanity. I love walking my dog in rain or shine, riding my bike with my dad on the familiar route we've taken since I was about seven, taking photos- knowing I will take as many as my parents do now when I'm older, which will annoy my kids as much as it annoys me , and it makes me sad when they wouldn't let me take photography as a freshman. I'll take it as a sophmore, I guess. Sitting on swings- even if they do give me motion sickness-, being with the psychos that are my best friends, playing my cello or my saxophone (alto!), singing very badly in my house when I'm all alone, watching old Disney movies with my sister, walking in the rain, and there's so much I love, so much to say, but it would take a novel to list them all. My biggest love is reading. I love way too many books and I own too little of shelf space. If any of you reading this and have seen the show 'Gilmore Girls', you'll know about Rory's drawers full of books. Well, sadly enough, I've resorted to that. I love reading fanfictions on here, and I try to review everyone I read, and every new chapter of the series I subscribe to- which have stacked up to be quite a lot- and some how my in box is never full enough. I'm pretty new to fanfiction writing still, and I'm trying to improve my writing, so thanks to all who've reviewed and gave advise to how to improve. You all help me become a better writer, which seems to be the goal of many on this site. All fanfics are great in my opinion, but I prefer the ones that stick to the main storyline. Some that don't, if they're written well and make some sense, I'll probably like them. If they get really out of hand with their craziness, I won't. Simple as that. Word of Advice: For those of you who find this concept odd, I beg for you to reconsider. PROOF READ MULTIPLE TIMES. You won't catch everything the first time. Or the second. Sometimes you even have to wait an hour or longer of doing something else before you can reread and you can see your mistakes. I once wrote, "My heart contracted in spain." Goofy, huh? Imagine what some other mistakes look like to others. As of 4/19/11: So... my stories... I haven't updated, and I cant promise when I will. High school sucks time away like nothing else (besides college) and i can't write much. and even when I do have time, I've be focusing on my original workings, not fanfictions. I have one-shots that may be written, but at the moment I've been mainly reading fanfictions. I try to review everyone I read, but if I can't say much other than "great job!" I wont. It's a bad habit, but i feel like reviews should be more than just that... specific things I saw that I liked, or disliked. I also won't comment on multiple chapters of a series I jsut started to read and it has 15 chapters... thats just too much work. But if there's something in the chapter that struck me, I will. Imagine there's no heaven Imagine there's no countries You may say I'm a dreamer Imagine no possessions You may say I'm a dreamer As Ringo says, Peace and Love, because without it, I think this world would pretty much shrivel up and die... (though it does not help with a flaming dragon attacking London) Thanks to all on this site who's reviewed, read but not reviewed, or has put up with my commenting their stories repeatedly. I must get annoying. : p Thanks to all my favorite authors who probably refuse to read fanfics, but I still love u guys. P.S. I'm horrible with grammar and commas, so if you see mistakes, feel free to correct me! I need all the help I can get! Tips for Newbies to Fanfiction! -When writing a story, don't take someone else'sstory and change the names. |
