NtL chapter 28 is completed. Thanks be to whatever powers are up there, down there or hiding in Mr. Dingleberry's left toenail and even more thanks to my beta reader, Beachside. He kicked my ass into gear when all I wanted was to play games, smoke hookah, drink and try very hard to ignore my real-world problems. And he's been giving me some great input into the story, which I appreciate to no end.

I alluded to this in the Author's Note of NtL 28, my life has been a bit of a fucking mess since January. Weirdly enough, work has been amazing; new boss who is goddamned amazing and I'm lucky to have her. But, the whole thing with the friend of a friend using me to get close to my roommate and having that as an excuse to basically live in the apartment rent-free while being mentally unstable and prone to very unpredictable behavior... yeah, that's fucked me up in the head a lot. But, now that she's not here 6 days out of every 7, I can actually relax at home without fear and I've been feeling far less like a hunted animal. Paranoids and unstable people with PTSD are kinda like oil and vinnegar (I'm the former).

So, with slightly more peace of mind and a dedicated beta reader, I think that these darker days of NtL are done. Here's to hoping!

If anyone has any talent for art, I would really think it would be awesome if I could change the "cover picture" of NtL to something drawn by a reader. If you've drawn a nice picture or would like to draw a picture of Soul and Maka, let me know. I'll consider any pictures that you have drawn YOURSELF. Because this is the face of my story, I will be selecting the picture that I like the most and that I think is best drawn. If you have a picture you'd like me to use, PM me and I'll take a look at it.

I wrote the first three as one-shots, and they were stated to be such in the summaries. Your Guardian Soul was a one-shot that people begged for a continuation for, and I'm writing it: Nine to Life. Your Guardian Soul is complete and over with. It was an audition for the author that I'm doing Beta work for and my joke that Maka was pregnant was taken as a hint for a continuation.
