Heya profile stalkers… err… I mean readers!

Thanks for visiting my profile. (I was kidding about you being a stalker, honest!) It’s been the better part of a year since I’ve been involved in the Fan Fiction world and, Gaia, I missed it so much. The last couple of days have been pretty good to me and I think I’m beginning to get back on track. I finished a story (finally!) that’s been promised to a friend for years and I’m beginning to plot my next adventure. Details below.

If I had to define myself using one word, it would be “a writer.” Ugh, that’s two words… Okay, If I had to define myself using two words, it would be “author.” … … … There are very few things in this world that I’m passionate about. I am passionate about:

- Writing

- Final Fantasy

- Reading

- Final Fantasy

- History

- Final Fantasy

- Cheesecake (seriously)

I love most of the Final Fantasy series (and cheesecake), each to a varying degree. My all-time favourite, though is Final Fantasy 7 in all its wonder and glory. (I’m Canadian, so you’ll have to get used to seeing random U’s in certain words you may not be used to, such as ‘favourite’ or cheesecakeu’.) I believe Final Fantasy 7, much like Star Wars or… umm… World of Warcraft (?) creates a cult-like obsession with its fans. Final Fantasy's story absorbs me completely, its music makes my nerves tingle, pictures make me energetic (and in some cases salivate), and the fanfics drive me wild. That’s why I started writing and I have to thank for nurturing my love of writing.

My Dream: An Update!

No… well yes, but I mean my dream of becoming a published author. That’s sort of taken the back seat as I became a stressed out nutcase with the prompts I was working on for a publishing consultant. I found writing to be stressful and I wasn't enjoying it anymore, so I cancelled my contract and decided to get back in touch with my roots again. This is why I’m here. I’m never leaving again.

I am hoping to gain experience and practice, practice, practice writing with (hopefully) you good people leaving me reviews and feedback so I can hone in on my skill.

Now I suppose I’ll ramble on about myself a bit. You normally find these things in profiles, right?

Me:

I am a closet fangirl and a total angst junkie. Those who know me know this well. :o) Anyhow, my handle, Brunette S Angel, comes from my high school nick name, Brunette Angel, but that name was already taken, so the ‘S’ is the first letter of my first name. I generally go by Angel these days.

Hobbies:

I love writing! I also love to read, but I won't go into detail of which book I'm reading now. I get through a book in about a week and a half/two weeks, so it will have changed several times before I normally update my profile. I also adore reading fan fiction on this site. I have a few favourite authors which can be viewed down below in the tabs. I’m a huge FF7 nut, as I said before, and was leveling up Zack’s material in Crisis Core, though I haven't played in a while because I’m afraid to move on… You can probably guess why… I’m beginning to develop a passion for history and have started learning about anything and everything about ancient civilizations because I’m somehow started feeling nostalgia for the past, and I don’t mean my past. I think it started when I was reading the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice (Zack would make a perfect Lestat, imho). I’ve become a devoted book collector, as well, and now how five bookcases in my apartment. Can’t wait to fill them all.

Favourite Pairing:

Hahaha… this is almost an amusing question because it isn’t difficult to figure out by looking at my favourites and written stories. Holy hell – I’m so completely in love with Zack x Cloud, it’s almost painful! Other pairings I like include Cloud x Leon, Zack x Reno, Reno x Cloud, Angeal x Zack, and a beautiful mix of SxZxRxC (check out KlikStar’s 4-Way Split saga… you’ll see what I mean). :o) It’s incredible how amazing authors can change your preference.

When I write, I used to wait until I had the entire story written, or close to it, before posting. It worked out great for update timing, but sucked that I would go long bouts of time without reviews. Salacity is the first story I posted as I write and it has been a nightmare! I told myself "Never Again!" but that failed as Shake It took me forever to complete. I have it all written now, but it took me long enough. (Ask Klik… heh…) As for my next story, I’m in the process of Salacity II. The first chapter shouldn't be too far away! *uber-excited squee*

- This fic was spopococ's fault! Through conversation we joked around about this story idea and I said I'd try and write it. It was supposed to be a goofy, fun fic, but it totally came out angsty and... ugh... I hate when my brain loses control of my writing.

- I am uber-excited about this project. So much so, that I have the structure almost complete and I've started with the first chapter. I came up with it while I made my lunch while writing to KlikStar. She's my muse; it's insane!

- Leon x Cloud; Zack x Cloud

- The idea for this story came up while I was listening to a song, I can’t remember which one anymore, which sucks, but is about a relationship strained after Cloud’s former lover comes back into the picture. The structure is in progress but not complete. I don’t even know when this story will be posted. I need to finish so much more before I focus on it. Watch for updates!
