Behind the Stories:

The Origin of Jack

One night, my sister and I were watching Pirates of the Caribbean and out of the blue, she wondered out loud how Barbossa came upon "Jack". Naturally, this caused the wheels in my head to turn and this story ended up as the result.

Where I Stand

This story was inspired by the real life death of my grandfather, who died a few years ago.

So far, this story is on hiatus, until I can get my groove back. So sorry to those who have been reading it.

Limericks of the Caribbean

My sister and I had way too much Pixie Stix one night and we started to speak in rhymes. This led to making poems about the PotC characters, which led to me writing them down in limericks. We got very silly that night...

I finally finished it! I'm sorry if any of you wanted more, but I am completely drained of limericks.

We are having a magnificent garden party and we invited everyone we knew... Didn't merit an invitation? Well, perhaps you're a lummox...or perhaps you just haven't been hanging out over at the Broken Compass Forum!

Affectionately known as MotC, this was a project conceived on a whim after an offhand comment at the Broken Compass forum. To date, 17 writers have endeavored to put forth their humble offerings, in an effort to bring to life the women behind the captains, the blacksmith, the legends and the Pirate Lords.
