I think the reason nobody thinks she's a feminist Disney Princess is she was downplayed from her real-life counterpart. Holy fuck, she didn't marry a general, she BECAME one. And she didn't run off, she challenged her father to a duel (anonymously so her would take her seriously) and he was like who the fuck are YOU? And she reveals herself and after that he lets her go with his blessing so she didn't run off to fight while they were wondering if she was dead or alive for 25 YEARS. And you got to give the troops credit- she revealed her identity to them right away (you can't hide that thing in there) and they didn't rat her out. Which is why I like real-Mulan more than Disney-Mulan too.
