I stumbled upon fanfiction, years ago, browsing for Harry Potter stuff. I was astonished that such a thing existed. It wasn't until reading Naruto that I was actually inspired to create one of my own. And I guess I owe all of y'all that I harshly criticized the chance to return the favor. "Do Unto You Now" is the first thing I have ever in my life written for fun. I learned a ton about writing (and reading) during the four months it took me to write the 2000-word one shot, and I have so much respect for you. Next, I'm trying to write a longer story about Kisame, but I think I'm in over my head.

I don't remember the last time I worked on my Kisame fic. I was hoping for a family one-shot, but I kept going back to a serial killer terrorizing his village. That's too big for me! Anyway, it seems I've fallen in love with Bleach; the mystery surrounding all the characters is so intriguing. Currently I'm drafting a fic about Hiyori that should be done soon, and by that I mean hopefully by summer. I've learned that a successful tale should include a theme, a "unifying idea in a story," and I'm trying to excercise that new bit of knowlegde on Hiyori. (Suddenly I'm picturing the Shitty Hiyori Walker. Troubling.)

We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true.
