Problems:

I have a problem with some stories/ writers (as evidenced by the title). They rush through the story to get to the moment when the main couple gets together. It kills the story and how they really don't set up the paring, or when they do, its rushed and doesn't seem plausible. It really sucks. Slow is the best for any fluff/romance story, because people need to get to know each other slowly, not suddenly. I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT WHEN THE CHARACTERS SUDDENLY REALIZE THEIR FEELINGS FOR THE OTHER AND IMMEDIATELY SAY "OH I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU!" AND THEN THEY MAKE OUT! ITS TOTAL AND UTTER MADNESS! I JUST WANT TO SHOOT MYSELF WHEN I READ THOSE PARTS! This is one of my favorite quotes from Eldest by Christopher Paloini (or however you spell his name) -- "The journey matters, not the destination." Good stuff. Good advice. This is probably because I read so much Fiction, Fan Fiction, Science and crap that I know when something is good and when something is not. Probably because I read at a high level, meaning I can understand what Charles Dickens and J.R.R. Tolkien are saying.

Another problem: poorly written LEMONS. I am such a naughty girl XP. I hate short ones or ones that don't give enough detail. Wow, I'm a second Jiraya! Talking about Naruto things,

My favorite story I have read (and pretty much anywhere else on the net) is Two Halves by Dame Wren. I have read the original one on wherever it is and that is what got me into Naruto fan fiction. Even if she as the author doesn't like what she wrote, it is a true gem of the Naruto fanfiction-verse and I speak from my heart. Dame Wren's Ghost has reposted it here on FanFiction for others to view. NaruHina w00t!

Even if she has written good stuff, I am the slightest bit disappointed in her because she abandoned her sequel to Two Halves, Twice Shy. But still, she wrote the first four chapters, also put up here by Dame Wren's Ghost, so she is not a total loss.

Another one is Training for the Job by Desaix. A NaruSaku that has a LEMON. And is also nice and long. Meaning 70+ chapters.

Top 10(?) Favorite Fanfics

1. Broken Promises by NeoQueenSerenity1985 - Naruto - older NaruSaku - 17 chapters - Incomplete - Easily my favorite. The only reason Two Halves didn't make it was because it didn't have enough drama and this drama is everywhere and well done. And teh smex. Plus well done elements of mystery, confusion and misconceptions. And a major conception in Sakura by Naruto becuse of teh smex. ;D READ IT NOW AND BEG HER TO UPDATE IT!!

2. Two Halves by Dame Wren - Naruto - NaruHina - 35 chapters - Complete - Epic and very well done. I can't say much more because it is just the essence of awesomeness. No smex though.

3. Baby by Dark-Hooded Eriol the Magician - Ouran High School Host Club - TamaHaru - 32 chapters - Incomplete - It's kinda like Broken Promises in the baby sense, but that factor comes in much earlier in the story and that's what drives the plotline since Tamaki doesnt know that he impregnated her during their summer romance.

4. Fox Hunt by dave-d - Naruto - older NaruHina - 17 chapters- Complete - Incorporates Japanese mythology (or was it made up? It seems real.) very well, as well as some almost (damnit) smex.

5. Training for the Job by Desaix - Naruto - young to older NaruSaku - 73 chapters - Incomplete - Very long, a bit boring but it grabs you and makes you want to keep reading for some reason. There is a smex scene! (but not on )

6. A mother's love by the lord of the land of fire - Naruto - young to older NaruHina - 101 chapters - Complete - I like this one cause it updated very frequently and the chapters are of good length. Not too long, not to short. Plus it has a good plotline and fight scenes, though it can get a bit mushy at times. Overall, a good job.

7. Naruto: Rise Of The Lord Of Foxes by VFSNAKE - Naruto - NaruHina - 13 chapters - Complete - A Naruto/Bleach X-over and very angsty, but still well done, despite the run-on sentenes and occasional grammar mistake.

8. Romance of the Uzumaki by Ricchan - MinatoxKushina - Naruto - 17 chapters - Incomplete - The best (and possibly most outrageous but still IC from what we know of them) story from Naruto's conception to his birth, though he hasn't been born yet in the story :'( Read it, 'cause it's REALLY funny.

9. Hating My Blood by NeoQueenSerenity1985 - Naruto - older SasuSaku/forced ItaSaku - 6 chapters - Incomplete - Another insanely well done fic from NeoQueenSerenity1985. Itachi rapes Sakura and Sasuke finds out a while after that happens when he returns to Konoha from looking for his brother. Why does this matter to Sasuke? Read and find out!

I want a guy that understands how much he means to me. If I tell him that he means the world to me, I expect him to feel the same way because it is so hard to say that. I want a guy that will let me do whatever he wants or needs but won't take advantage of me. If he takes advantage, it just proves to me that he doesn't love me but for the physical possessions that he will receive. I want a guy that understands how I feel when I cry. I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.

The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

The Cashier said, "I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll."

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?''

The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look a round. She left quickly.

The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.

"It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas. She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her."

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.

But he replied to me sadly. "No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there."

His eyes were so sad while saying this. "My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.''

My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said: "I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall."

Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me "I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me. "

"I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister."

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. "Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?''

"OK" he said, "I hope I do have enough." I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said: "Thank you God for giving me enough money!"

Then he looked at me and added, "I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give It to my sister. He heard me!''

"I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.''

"My mommy loves white roses."

A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.

I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local newspaper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl.

The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.

Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young woman had passed away.

I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed

forever.. The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister

is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a

drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

(3-26-08) I temporarily changed my name to Infested by Purple. I'll change it back when I feel like it. And for chapter 11 of Secret of the Whirlpool Country, I am going to go on a rant in the A/N. Just a forewarning.

(4-10-08) I just read Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse in 5 days. I am sleep deprived and I am just barely turing in my homework. My mind has run amuck (haha funny word, amuck) with EdwardBella and so now I am totally end entirely disoriented. Thank you Emily, Lauren and Sarah for brainwashing me with thoughts of sexy vampires and boyfriends who involuntarily want to suck your blood out and kill you even if they don't want to. And now I will re-read the whole goddamn series beacuse I like it so much, even if Bella bothers me and is a bit whiny and lovestruck and helpless. I can't wait for Breaking Dawn.

Also, for the Twilight movie, the guy who played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter is Edward and he's ok, I guess. Same with the girl who plays Bella, though I've never sen her act before. Only Alice and Jacob match up perfectly with their actors.

(5-4-08) Some people think that I started back too far in Secret of the Whirlpool Country so I will take out the prolouge and repost it as Kushina: Before the Demon or something like that. If you cant think of a better title, PM me.

So then, SotWC will only have the 4 current chapters that have barely teenage Naruto/Hinata in it and I might keep the first two prolouge chapters that have Pain's attack in it. Hmm. Maybe... Yes. I will. I'll do this when I have time, which is evidently not now but I will. Hopefully. Later.

(6-8-08) I have put some concept art for Secret of the Whirlpool Country on my deviantart page. The one you should look at though if you are reading the story is the Uzumaki Floorplan just so you don't get confused on room placement in the house. Another is Hinata's uniform. Other stuff is just random things that aren't vital to the reader but help with the understanding of the world I am still creating.
