![]() Author has written 20 stories for Star Wars, Command & Conquer, Kim Possible, Danny Phantom, Mass Effect, How to Train Your Dragon, Ace Combat, Mount&Blade, For Honor, X-Com, Assassin's Creed, Legend of Korra, and Overwatch. Welcome to my Profile. I got into fanfiction in great part from an enjoyment of exploring aspects of settings that perhaps are not directly explored, or wanting to play with different aspects. Worldbuilding is perhaps one of the things that I enjoy most, which may explain my somewhat ponderous writing style, but even with such it is important to deliver progress on the way. As an aside, constructive reviews can aid the writing of a story considerably, and should be left if you read a story. Short, "good job" reviews are understandable, it's your right to leave such, but a well-written review that points out flaws or offers advice can be a great boon to any writer, especially those polishing their skills. Besides, we all like it when we get reviews to our fics, why not give someone else the same? Even if you drop it partway through the fic, the writer wrote the fic with their own free time and giving them some feedback is the least you can do. (List of stories below updated as of October 7th 2019) Current Stories: Honor's Trial (For Honor) A story making the effort to expand upon the rather bare bones Story Mode of For Honor, in particularly the vastly glossed over story of The Warden. How did she go from what we saw in the third mission to the final chapter of the Knights' story? While how she went from leaving at Sverngard to leading an army is going to be its own story, this one is the trials that the Warden, Joyeuse Maylis, must face as her youthful dream of being a Warden is challenged by her time in Ashfeld and under Apollyon's command. Et Mors Iustitae (Overwatch) A story examining a possible way for Fareeha and Ana to meet in the flesh, following the events of Old Soldiers/Bastet and Mission Statement, with no time to properly catch up and everything Ana feared if Fareeha followed her footsteps mere moments away. Lost Sons (Mass Effect AU) -- On Hold/Rewrite A story that I am co-authoring with Mandemon and Teen Spirit from Spacebattles. The general premise is a "what if" where, during an extremely daring and risky raid, the batarians attack Jerusalem at the height of the Third Crusade and made off with 30,000 people, who then managed to overpower their captors and crashed in Citadel Space. Over the next thousand years, these humans are uplifted to a state, the Star Empire of Jerusalem, where they were part of the Citadel as junior members... then cue the Systems Alliance on the stage and the resulting issues between two human polities and trying to fit such into the Citadel's system. And Shepard, in this timeline, is from the Empire and part of their nobility, and a Spectre Candidate alongside one of the Alliance's, Ashley Williams. [Currently under a stalled rewrite due to clinging too close to the original game and realizing that with experience the entire idea needed an overhaul to realize live up to it's potential.] Completed Stories: For Honor: Holmgang: My entry (and the winner) of EXAN's Summer 2018 contest. Taking place shortly after the epilogue, just why was it that the war resumed? As always, Apollyon's perfect minions: the Warborn. And in this case, The Raider - Snorri Sindrison - refusing to accept peace. Broadly the same continuity as Honor's Trial above. A Wolf's Regret: A short one-shot of Apollyon musing on what she had missed in her obsession with war, spawned by a musing on what Apollyon would think of love and exploring it. The Sheep of Sparta: Another one-shot contest entry, this time a crossover with Assassin's Creed Odyssey as per Ubisoft's For the Creed contest, and was a runner-up winner. A simple one-shot where Nikolaos, spared by Kassandra, is confronted by Apollyon who challenges him as to his motives, asking whether the Wolf of Sparta really is such or just another sheep. Danny Phantom: A New World Network: An introduction story with an overview of the general situation in the world following "Phantom Planet", and an introduction to how things have changed for Danny now that he has his secret revealed to the world, and learns some interesting things about the so-called "Ghost Control Network" (GCN) as the network used to make the planet intangible had become known. Ghost Club: Sequel to ANWN above. After getting caught by Lancer due to using his powers to evade a fan mob, Danny has a choice: a week of detention (and loony fans trying to get into detention), or guest speak at the new club forming at Casper High for a while as an alternative. Danny takes the later, but soon becomes worried that he unintentionally inspired some of its members to take up ghost fighting themselves. And because things always get worse, Valerie's secret identity as a ghost hunter is at risk when the Lunch Lady attacks the school and those same club members become overconfident. Playing with Syringes: Sequel to Ghost Club above. After several Intangibility Suits were destroyed by Skulker in a skirmish, the Guys in White begin Project White Wraith, and as part of it set their sights on Danielle as a source of material to dissect and study. Danielle travels to Amity Park seeking help from Danny in dealing with the GIW, and Danny becomes forced to question just how far he would go to defend those close to him. This also marks the end of my Danny Phantom stories as I felt that I was not going to be able to maintain the series with school. Others: Who is the First Rider? (How to Train Your Dragon): A post HTTYD2 one-shot examining the issue of what Hiccup's epithet as the First Dragonrider really means in light of Valka and Drago Bloodfist. Number Two (Kim Possible): Winner of AmericanGecko's Minor Character Story Contest. A short story focusing on Will Du where he has to figure out what it means to be a grunt in a world of heroes, and figure out what he needs to be. Rest, Recreation, and a Reunion (Legend of Korra): A short one-shot of Bumi and Iroh II in a bar following the events of Turf Wars, spun from a musing on the optics of the last part on Iroh's part. Raid on Clark's Landing (Mass Effect): A short one-shot that I wrote as a post-ME3 practice piece. In hindsight it wasn't post worthy, but I'm leaving it up Twelve Battles of Command & Conquer: A Christmas spoof of the 12 Days of Christmas, a song fic. Made on Tiberium-laced eggnog, I swear. And a shining example of why I normally stay away from such fanfics as a writer - I'm terrible at them. (Command and Conquer) Shakespear for Droids: A TCW one shot that was probably made on death sticks when I was younger. Alas, poor Y0771K. Extremely short, probably for the best. Take it as the cheap one-laugh gimmick it was supposed to be, written when I was just starting high school. (Star Wars) Abandoned or Deceased: Deconstructive Legacy and Thirteen Moons of Blood: Sharing the same expanded setting as "Number Two" above as Kim Possible fanfics, this was my main foray into fanfiction for a long time and where I would say that a lot of my experience was honed through trial and error. I'm leaving these up, however, because I am proud of what I had managed for them even with the numerous mistakes I made. Take them as a lesson in why you should know your habits well; inertia will only get you so far. Mount & Bending (Legend of Korra/Mount & Blade): The basic pitch was Korra and some others in Calradia via Harmonic Convergence and needing to make their way through that sandbox, though ultimately the story petered out due to a mix of me realizing I had made some major plotline mistakes (namely too much meandering) that required a rewrite, then just realizing that everything I had wanted to explore with the story could be better done without the crossover, interesting as it was. A lesson in an interesting idea stalled by taking too long to get to a clear plot, and perhaps the limits of a crossover. Operation Brooding Tome (Kim Possible/XCOM2): A three-shot I meant to do after a particularly ball-busting mission in XCOM 2 to novelize it. Ended up abandoning it mostly because I got stuck on the aftermath. May go back to it one day, but it at least covered the mission itself. A Black Tomcat for a Demon (Ace Combat): Intended to be a story with a premise of taking the "Did the demons possess them?" aspect of Wardog and then play it as yes, Razgriz was real. Ultimately it faltered early because I played way too close to the game, a lesson of being too literal in adopting a game's plotline when writing fanfiction. |
