Author has written 2 stories for Naruto. August 7th 2011, somewhere on the face of Earth. User name: Wounded Angel Age: 19 Gender: Female Birth year: Year of the Sheep Zodiac: Scorpius Introduction: To summarize why I'm here is because a writer, going under the pen name Wounded angel, is hoping to be able to post some of her work on this site for her own sake and, hopefully, that of others. I have a small pile of stories that are the product of the occasional indulgences from my Muse's side. I'm hoping to receive some constructive criticism on them and opinions on what you think. Mostly though, I am hoping to provide my readers as well as myself with some entertainment -grins-. Longer stories is where my main focus will lie. Still, matters concerning my writing might well change with time. There's some truth to the proverb 'You should never say never.' I have also thought about posting some of my poems on FictionPress.com under the pen name Sheila Clark and already posted one collection there. If you are interested, then just click the link. Inspiration: I've come to the conclusion over the years, that my Muse must be one of the more independent ones, for it comes and goes entirely as it pleases. Music is a method of drawing it out from hiding or reading a good piece of literature. Sometimes it can strike when I'm just staring into space my brain drawing a complete blank. When I've finally caught my Muse, it'll coil around me like a dragon's tail and not budge until I've written my ideas down. This has an uncanny habit to happen when I really should be focusing on other things, such as reading for exams or sleeping. My Muse must therefore also be accounted among the more mischievous ones. I must admit that I absolutely love to listen to music and always do so when I get the chance to; it has turned to -as I mentioned earlier- a source of inspiration for me. My tastes range from country to metal and genre isn't all that important to me. There are some bands that have grown on me though and have made songs which I really never get tired of listening to. Such artists and composers are -just to name the top of the iceberg-: Linkin Park, Bryan Adams, Evanescence, Enigma, Rammstein, Howard Shore, John Williams, Disturbed, Nickle back, Sting, Apocalyptica...I could go on forever... Writing: The language I use will probably lean towards British English, since that is apparently whereto the focus has been made by the Department of Education in my country. Grammar-wise I try to be as accurate and correct as I can, while variation word-wise is also something I strive for. I like playing with words and colour a text and spice up the contents by varying the words and combination (all while staying grammatically correct of course). Still, there will probably occur some errors in my writing since English is my third language, but I'm hopeing that my betas, Spirit Seer and Sandi.Inspiration, will take care of those for me -smiles-. As for the work I will be posting here, well, I can't claim that what I write here now will be written in stone, but my focus will probably lie on romance/drama/adventure with a touch of angst and humor. I've already posted two stories, Strength from Within (complete) and Fuyuhana (incomplete). Although I have yet to find the time to do so, I intend to rewrite SfW and correct the grammatical errors and maybe give it some more contents, a little more flesh on the bones. The general idea of the story will of course remain unchanged. As for Fuyuhana, well, I've sort of gotten to a point were inspiration is slow and the chapters are not coming as fast as neither I nor the readers would like. I thank all the readers for their patience and hope that not all too many have given up on me. Last Words: I hope that while here you will check out my stories and possibly leave a comment on them, whether you like the story or not. I'm always looking for constructive criticism for I hope to improve in my writing as much as I can. All the comments I receive are equally appreciated! As an end to this little introduction of myself, I quote the metonymic adage by Edward Bulwer-Lytton, my tribute to all literary works and fellow writers, past and present: 'The Pen is mightier than the Sword.' ~Wounded angel Fuyuhana: itasaku drawing by ~silviker-chan (fanart) A HUGE thank you to silviker for drawing the first fanart to one of my stories, I love it! -grins- |
