[AkaKuro, agents!AU] Once Aomine knows, everyone knows.

It's never just another case, particularly not when conspiracies are involved. The corpse of a modern pirate shows up on a naval base, a continent away from where he was last seen. Slight AU. There were a few fights that Luffy could not be kept from, being adventurous as he was, but even then he was mostly almost always well protected. Mostly. Sometimes not. And some poor fool made the mistake of getting him furious during exactly such a time.

They stop in a small port town to restock supplies, but they don't make it past the harbor before a squabble breaks out. While he waits for it to blow over, Zoro gets into a conversation with a befuddled observer about the complex dynamics between crew and captain. Nakamaship oneshot.

The Strawhat boy, reporter Hiragi concludes, is many things – a rubber human, a supernova, a friend, a brother, a son – but he is not a pirate. The hysterical irony in his throne as the King of Pirates is stifling, because this boy is a savior, not a plundering pirate, and all he's ever done is offered his hand to anyone that needs it. I've been reading a lot of fics here where the GoM are overprotective of Kuroko - but what if it was the other way around? (This could turn into either a proper chapter fic or just be an extended oneshot collection, we'll see.)
