Something interesting: I have anime to thank for almost my entire current set of interests, most of which aren't even related to anime. If I hadn't found Strike Witches, I wouldn't be interested in planes and I wouldn't have found Girls und Panzer, so I would never have found Sabaton or Kancolle, so I wouldn't be as interested in history, and I never would have started playing World of Tanks, meaning I would never have started playing both World of Warships or War Thunder, and if I hadn't found Sabaton, I wouldn't be nearly as interested in Europe as I am, and I therefore wouldn't be learning Russian, Polish, Swedish, Finnish, or Bulgarian. Nor would I be planning on going into politics (long story). So, thank you, anime.
