Philowen Aster: An amateur writer who started writing on here as a favor to the main user. Soon became part of the shared account after getting some positive feedback on We Who Must Stand Between. Any Stories written by this user will have her name at the end of the Title. STORY STATUS: Stories by the main user: American Noise (Naruto): Focusing on this story before trying anything else. All other story plots were lost after having to give back my old computer. (Highest Priority) Sham Pain (High School DxD): I started it for sg, and got into it the more I wrote it. Beta'd by RedXEagl3 (High Priority) A Demon's Fate (Monster Girl Encyclopedia Magic: the Gathering): In the works for a couple years, this story is the result of watching too much Yu-Gi-Oh! and playing too much MTG. (Medium Priority) Believer's Ambition (SAO/Naruto Crossover): Iced until plot can be rewritten from chapter 4. Being Beta'd by Philowen Aster and TheTurk95. (Medium Priority) Behind Blue Eyes (Rosario Vampire): Iced until plot can be rewritten. I've honestly lost inspiration with this story, and may end up scrapping it and reuploading with a different name.(Medium Priority) All the Time in Two Worlds (Rosario Vampire): Iced, possible scrapping due to lack of inspiration and decent plot. (Low Priority) The Next Session (Homestuck): I'm icing this one for now. I have lacked inspiration, organization, and time to write it, but it's gonna be rewritten. I just don't know when. (Extremely Low Priority) Stories by Philowen Aster, his cousin: Dungeons and Dragonborn (Philowen Aster) (DnD/Skyrim crossover): Drizzt Do'Urden wakes up in the land of Skyrim and meets a Bosmer woman named Ravenlight. Little does he know this woman happens to be the legendary hero, the Dragonborn. We Who Must Stand Between (Philowen Aster) (Rosario Vampire): I'm not the one writing this one. That would be my cousin. She's got great skills as a writer and she's mostly writing it as a favor, but in terms of updates, I honestly don't know. It all depends on when she starts writing. FUTURE PROJECTS Journeys of the Astral Cowboy (Philowen Aster): A series of One-shots about a the many wild things that happen in a bar. Did I mention this bar has the ability warp to different dimensions? Unknown time of when this will come out and/or end. Tame the Untamable (Digimon): An unexpected addition to the tamers, Mark, finds himself in the Digital world. He meets a Digimon that freaks the living crap out of him, and the little Digi-spirits decide to make this awkward human the Digimon's Tamer. Will Take place right before the D-Reaper invasion. Basic Rules of Writing Fanfiction for Teens 1. If you can't go two pages without a spelling or grammar issue, pay more attention in your English Class. 2. Learn the difference between the following words. It's not that hard: They're/their/there, were/where, to/too/two, passed/past, through/threw 3. Keep the characters as themselves. It keeps your story believable. Don't axe a character's development just because you have a personal vendetta against them. 4. If your chapter has less than 1200 words minimum, slow down your pacing. 5. Sex scenes (also known as lemons or limes) are not a requirement. 6. Showing is better than telling in most cases. 7. If your character is super powerful, don't give them everything from the start. Make it a slow buildup that shows their growth throughout the story. 8. Fanon Elements are good IN MODERATION. Too many kills it. 9. Sometimes reviews won't be nice. But even still, some can offer constructive criticism that can't be put any other way. 10. Using a different fandom's characters in another parody's format (like MLP Characters with DBZ Abridged scripting) is plagiarism. 11. Applying Rule 63 for the sake of shipping does not automatically make your story more interesting. 12. Having a scripted anime intro/ending is a wall of text that needs to die. 13. Long author's notes without purpose are the same as number 12. 14. Stat sheets/bios as full chapters...see number 12. 15. There is a pairings option in the character selection when you post your story. Don't put it in the summary. 16. Dialogue is their own paragraph every time the speaker switches. After the first two quotes between the same two characters, nothing needs to be said to indicate who spoke until somebody new enters the conversation. 17. When dialogue is begun, and going to be continued, end you first quote with a comma followed by the normal text, then continue the quote as normal. 18. Harems are not always the good or entertaining route. 19. Nobody isn't kind of an asshole in some way, shape or form. Don't take it personally. 20. Don't immediately post when you finish writing it. Let it sit, get a second opinion, then, if the end result is good, post it. 21. Always be able to explain yourself when you say why characters have powers they never would have had in canon. Otherwise you look like an idiot that didn't do their research. |
